So nice to be able to see the targets around the skull properly. It plays as good as it looks Jamin, and don't all of us pinball addicts have a bit of a Peter Pan complex? Thanks for this superbly rendered table.

very cool table Jamin and it looks awesome. I'd love your tables even more if the look of the ball dropping was smooth and the sound of the flippers were "stronger." That flipper sound (a lot of authors use it) is so weak sounding to me. I'd like to hear a nice loud SmAcK! like from Lander's Funhouse table or such. Nice dark table though and good atmosphere..

very late reply, but thanks for doing this table, jamin- really nice of you!

i had some excellent graphic links at one time but i had archived them at the original VPF and that's... no longer available now.
i have no idea where those pics are now unless mrhide has better ones.

reactions to your new table:

i know i'm an asshole for saying this but i hate the 'one size fits all' full decal system-
problems are that the table angle and POV can't be changed, and as for the reasons i mentioned that led to asking for a new version of hook, i can't change the backdrop or change light levels of the PF.

those were pretty-much the whole reason for asking for a remake.

back to a positive note, you did some awesome work on animations and fading lights.
and i like how you tried to find an angle that maximised PF view.

Even later reply...

I had never played this table before, and it was interesting. The only thing I can say negatively is it was almost too dark to see what I was shooting. Other than that, your recreation is SUPERB, from what I see on IPDB. I sure wish tables were more accessible these days sad.gif

On a technical note, I had a ball hang up just past the skill shot area. I was rockin', too tongue.gif I had to slam tilt to get it loose.

Thanks for the great addition to our collections!

ah i tried replying to this earlier but the site was going through some issues and i guess it didn't get thru so here's the reply again. Someone let me know about the ball sticking in that area also on pinballnirvana thread and the solution was to delete Wall1. In my efforts to make sure that the ball went down the enterance of the right ramp when it fell off that part of the end of skill shot I guess it caused a ball sticking issue that I wasn't able to create while testing it before release. With Wall1 gone it should either go on the enterance of the ramp like it should or fall off down to where the balls that enter 1,2,3 holes of the skill shot go.

Wow... your last few releases have been absolutely brilliant, thankyou so much. Hook does look a little dark towards the far end of the table on my screen though but aside from that I love it.

I've been "hooked" on this table since yesterday. I went up to the city to this corner store that had a terminator 2 machine. I hadn't been there in over a year. I went there yesterday and they no longer had T2 they had Hook!!! so i played about 40 games and when i came home i went straight to your recreation Jamin. It's really good biggrin.gif

This is such a great table IMO. I'm actually shocked that no one has recreated it yet for VP9. Here's hoping that someone does this table soon. smile.gif
