Monty Python And The Holy Grail

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Itchigo, Faralos

Description:
Monty Python And The Holy Grail for VP 9.1.2. A table by Itchigo and Faralos. Table design, coding, some sounds and graphics by Itchigo. Other sounds, stills (great idea!) and graphics by Faralos. Scroll on the apron by Rukia (in her debut).
This started out as a Monty Python table but later became a Holy Grail table as there's so much to work with. (There may be a few Monty Python sounds left over). I may revisit this one at a later date, but not in this form. There are some overlapping sounds but not too bad, I had to split the stopsound sub into 2 parts to help alleviate this.

When you boot up the game it will play the Monty Python theme but the game will not start untill the theme is done playing and the foot comes down, this is intentional to keep with the theme. As it's irritating to put up with it only plays on boot up, not every game. There are no known bugs that I can see other than a few weird ball bounces or something like that. Three shakes before the timer expires tilts the game.

Game Rules: S-P-A-M ADVANCES X.
M-O-N-T-Y or P-Y-T-H-O-N lights lock for multiball.
Lock light and Locked balls carry over from ball to ball.

Enjoy Monty Python And The Holy Grail!!

Thanks I love Monty Python. I did find a bug though with the left POP BUMPER when the ball is on the left side of it and the ball getting stuck bouncing off the pop against the right target rail and back again and repeating this until the only way to get it loose is to nudge it.

I did find this too, since there's not much room in that area I wasn't sure what I could do. If you move the bumper remember it's JP's and made of many parts. Maybe I could scale down the size. It's possible I may redo this one completely at a later date, but for now I was just happy to finish it.

I just got back from taking my gal back home from hospital (yeah she's fine), so have not have a chance to play it yet. Sniff...sniff...I still prefer my play fields ( I sent him I think about 3) more but okay, as long as people like the look and play of it! I know I had a blast getting the sounds and pictures for it! crazy.gif yahoo.gif

um.. we use drop walls that are in the back of the table in the middle of the screen you'd have to play it to understand that better, but I think you may have to rotate them
that ball getting stuck issue: you can also just move a wall point in just a bit so the ball angles different
