Beatles 2013.2.5 Update

Added Multiball, not easy to achieve, but rewarding when you get it, you need to drop the apple targets 3 times on the same ball to achieve multiball, each dropping of the apple targets during MB results in another ball being launched into play. A total of 56 mp3 files are included now.

Added more lights to the top plastics, the white ones represent how much time is left on the Double Scoring or On Air, they sort of tick down like a timer.

Changed some other stuff and added some other stuff. Hopr you enjoy it. :)

This table is a widescreen release, but if you use a 4x3 monitor, just click on the backdrop and change the xScale from 1.5 to 2.0 and you are ready to play in 4x3, if you then save the table, it will be a 4x3 table the next time you load it too.

The Beatles 2012 Update

Beatles 2012 Update

I made the table a little darker, added 6 new mp3's by the 12 Cellists for easy going Beatle music when you aren't hearing the real thing.

All the Beatle images on the playfield are now lights that produce some psychedelic effects during play.

Plastics now turn On and Off.

I spent a lot of time on the attract sequences when game is not in progress, so try to watch them once.

Added Maceman's favorite ball, I think it is UW's, thanks for sharing and if someone lets me know for sure whose ball it is, I can make sure I give them some credit.

Thanks to JP for sharing his objects.

There are 6 new .mp3's, you don't need to overwrite the old ones, but make sure you get the new ones.

The mp3's make the table, no music equals no fun, so be sure to make them work or post for help in the Support Topic.

I added an option to turn off the 12 Cellists playing Beatle elevator music when the real Beatles were on break. To turn OFF this music, hold Left Flipper in Up position and press 1, to turn back ON, just do it again at anytime. You will see a red or green asterisk appear on the left side of the Apron by the word Flipper to let you know if it is On or Off.

---------------------------------------------------

The Beatles 2011a Rules

This table zipfile includes 15 Beatles mp3 song clip files averaging about 30 seconds long, you must place these mp3 files into your MUSIC folder,

your MUSIC folder is in your Visual Pinball folder. If you don't have a MUSIC folder in your Visual Pinball folder, than just create a New Folder and

name it "Music" and then put the mp3 files in it. The table is a waste of time without these files working.

This table is by default a widescreen (WS) 16x9 table. If you have a 16x10 monitor, then just change the yScale number on the backdrop from 1.81 to

1.629, this will preshrink the length of the table, so it will blow up to the correct proportion on your/Rob046) 16x10 monitor screensize when it renders.

4x3 version - Click on the Support Topic link on this Download page and I will tell you how to change this table into a 4x3 table with an included 4x3

backdrop in the Image Manager and I will show you a screenshot of what it will look like with that 4x3 backdrop.

Freddie, try to play a couple complete games with the flipper settings, before you change them, I can hit every shot with them. My last 4 games were

all over 100,000 and the highest was 229,000. If you score over 1 million, you can drag the 7th digit onto the table and enlarge the score box to fit it, it

is already scripted and working, but I don't think you'll need it. Posted Image

The Beatles Rules

Hit the Music Target for Double Score and to activate Beatle song clips.

Dropping all BEATLES Targets Lights Extra Ball Light. Targets score 100Pts

Dropping all BEATLES Targets again on same ball lights Free Game Light

Drop the Apple Targets to Open Left and Right Outlane Gates. Score 100Pts

Spin the Spinner to Light the Stars, Light all Stars to Advance SPinner X to 10 X, 100X, 1000X.

When SpinnerX = 1000 and if Double Score is Lit, you score 2000Pts/Spin. Go for it! The SpinnerX will reset to 1 after losing Ball with 1000X Light Lit.

The 3 Red Targets score 10/100Pts Unlit/Lit and Light a Bumper

The 4 Top Lanes Light the Pink Lower Lane Stars and score 5oooPts when achieved.

The 5 LED Lane Lights increse your Lane Score by 100Pts when Lit, so first time through score is 100Pts, next time 200Pts, then 300Pts, 400 Pts,

500Pts. With Score Double Lit you can score 1000Pts.

Thanks Bob! Really like what you did with this one. I converted it to a FS version for my cab. Great stuff! dblthumb.gif

Any art we can use for a backglass?

Thanks chas, you don't really need to quote the entire release post to ask a question. smile.gif This table is for only 1 player, I am only one person, I only need one player, it is also very hard to script multiple players, probably over my head as I just am a simple table maker with simple programming skills.

I haven't turned this table yet, but I will make a Full Screen table once I am sure everything is working properly, but it will be a B2S table, so that means you would need 2 monitors to play it when I do make one. This table should be easy to just turn for one monitor FS, the score is already split up into individual reels.

Just a little bug: The ball disapeared under the upper flipper. Press "O" did not showed it. I tried the Tilt to get it out, some plastics turned grey & the table froze otvwimper.gif

Despite of this the table is already in my FAV folder biggrin.gif

Had the ball lost behind top flipper as well. Two games in a row. Seems to just disappear over the trigger behind flipper, not going through a wall Bob.

Really love the table...once those outlanes are closed. Pretty nice selection of tracks, though I'm partial to the later albums myself. Great lightshow when the game ends.

I'm not sure how to fix that as the plastics are surrounded by walls 55 high and zero bottom, so it shouldn't pass through them. This has never happened to me. I left a space there so when the flipper is up, the ball would go pass through the opening to the bumper. I'm thinking the ball is either freezing against the post and the little invisible wall there and the flipper when it returns or it's the upper flipper that doesn't touch the table, it is floating in the air, so maybe the ball is slipping under it. I have played 100's of balls while building and testing and it never happened to me, so it's kind of hard for me to fix.

EDIT - Sounds like the raised flipper, maybe if one of you know how to make the flipper 50 units high, instead of the current 40 and change its surface to none, it might fix it, let me know if it doesn't. I only did that for the flipper to look better to my perspective.

Let me try to fix the ball disappearing for some of those guys first. smile.gif I will eventually release a FS B2S table, but not until the table plays for everyone as bugs are a bummer. smile.gif

I am going to switch that top flipper to just a normal flipper setup and I'll re-upload the table. If that doesn't fix it, I'm out of ideas since it doesn't happen here. I put a kicker above that flipper and lane and just drop 100's of balls down there while nudging them all over the flipper and the lane above the flipper and I still couldn't get one to disappear.

I uploaded a 2011a version with the upper flipper done as normal as can be. smile.gif If someone with disappearing balls will try it and let me know if this fixes the problem. I have no other ideas, so I hope that does it. smile.gif

I played about a half hour on the new version Bob, and I didn't have the ball issue in those games. Looks like that may have done the trick.

This one just might rival 'Mars Attacks' for being my fave Bob table.

Isn't that strange that it doesn't disappear on my setup. I have windows XP on an old pc and I am using VP9.12, which this table needs VP9.1X for the png transparency image. I have a few other tables that I modded for myself with the upper flipper floating in the air like that and never had a problem on them either. I use a funny setup to have the front flippers at that above view and the layback then makes the top flipper look funny to me, so that's why I shorten its height and then raise it up.

The graphics and the music make up for a below average layout on this table. smile.gif I was surprised by how well it seems to play though.
