Thanks guys, I just played it and you did a fantastic job! I like that the playfield and table show some wear, it just seems to make the game seem more real. Excellent backglass also. 5 stars!

Thanks Bob!! We really appreciate comments like that. Just in case anyone missed it in the WIP thread, this is a photograph that pinuck shot of a nicely worn Sinbad that was being used as a parts donor.

When we saw the shape it was in, we both agreed right away that the wear and tear should be preserved in our re-creation. Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone!!

Let us know if you find any bugs by replying to these Sinbad forum threads.

I never played on a new machine ! All the EM that made my youth were at least ten years old & quite worn out. sad.gif biggrin.gif

This recreation is playing smoothly on my laptop (VP912, with image sizes reduced to 1024), with an onboard ATI RADEON 1200Series !

Just wanted to say thank you Pinuck and Kruge again. This is easily becoming one of my favorite VP releases right up there with Triple Strike. It sounds so real!! I almost forget I am standing at a real machine, the Spinner, the Drops, the Everything.... so real man. The scratches on the table are top notch!! Just enough that it gives the flavor of an old table but doesn't cause too much distraction or take away from any of the brilliant art to be found here. I wouldn't want to see every VP release coming out with scratches, but it is definitely very cool and is its own version of eyecandy really, and i wouldn't mind seeing it from time to time. Even an alternate Redrawn PF image would be sweet to include in the VPT, that way maybe if we wanted to play a rough version or a super clean version we could just change the PF image each time we wanted to play in the vp editor. Just a thought

edit: 1 question, what is with the far right drop target that has the number 2 on it in the purple drop bank. I don't recall seeing this on LTA's previous version of Sinbad (i believe it was Luvthatapex if memory off the top of my head serves me right).

Is it a replacement found on one of your guy's actual machine?

That purple drop target broke during play-testing so we replaced it with the only one we had available. whistle.gif wink.gif

Thanks Sabbat, glad you're enjoying it so much!

The sounds here are all brand new - and with the exception of the spinner and the chimes, they are all from a recording session i did with a friend's Mata Hari table, for the purposes of our Sinbad recreation (and for future use...) I wanted to get as complete a set of sounds I could that are all from the same POV sonically, and had all their relative volumes in realistic proportions. Also the impact sounds (between ball and rubber or ball and flipper) have multiple versions, which are chosen randomly - and this made a nice subtle addition to the realism i think.

With regards to a "clean" version of the playfield, that's something i've considered, since I already had a complete redraw finished when we decided to do the distressed version instead. I'll have to see how much work it would be to adjust it and add the lighting, but I'll try and release an alternate later…

And if you're going to fix the mis-matched drop target, you might want to replace the broken plastics too. Oh, and there was an electrical problem we never managed to get to the bottom of either…

Great table and great work. This one is tough. I am one of those style players who like to alternate my flippers in the up position when I shot, because I do some fancy trick shots...but in this table and those similar, you need to remember to keep the flippers down, or the ball sneaks through... I get caught so many times smile.gif

Anyways, nice work... The only thing I would say, and this is just aesthetics, is to make the flipper texture map a 'rustic' one to match the rustic look of the table. The flippers and the 'too perfect' bumper tops. The backbox is too sterling as well(not your fault) smile.gif

I am just saying for matching looks- but this is just flavouring the final mix.
