While waiting for the new and improved rebuild of Haunted House, I kind of glued together a FS/UVP version of ParaTroX's awesome VP8 table. It's mostly working, except for I can't figure out some of the correct light numbers for the back glass.

Does anyone know how to get hold of ParaTrox these days to see about releasing this FS mod? I'd love to share this work while we wait to get our hands on the updated 2012 version.... smile.gif

That looks good, thought the flippers look massive, can they be streamlined a tad? Is this in VP9? Also notice its missing the plastic on the drain lanes (near the flippers) I know bodydump has redraw all of the plastics and PF maybe they could be added to this MOD if you get the go ahead?

I toned down six of the 8 flippers in size. The basement ones are a pain because extra artwork would have to be redone in order to update those.
Original table is VP8, some modifications make it work fine in VP9.
There aren't any missing plastics as far as I am aware.
The new redraws are for the new build. I'm just updating this one for my own personal use, but figured since I did put some effort in it, others might find the update fun in order to fill the time waiting for the new version. I'm having a blast with it. smile.gif

I added the playfield LED bonus lights.
I did some graphics updates to fix some things to either improve resolution or give a more consistent viewing perspective for FS.
I added an animated plunger reel.
Fixed the light reflections on the attic bezel.
Added some additional sounds, and the code for ball rolling sounds and rubber hits.
Small modifications here and there to be more Vp9 friendly.

FD, I bet your UVP is going to be spectacular. I'm using you BG image on my Pinball PC right now.... smile.gif

Updated FS shot in first post...

Look real good, nice to hear you have added extra sound effects, like rubber/metal hits ball rolling sound etc.

So that the lowest you can get the height of those flippers then, they just seem really tall or maybe change the layback view of them so you dont see so much of the back of them? Can a massive alpha ramp be added over the cellar and attic areas so it looks like theres plastic over them, or cant alpha ramps be used like that?

When will it get uploaded mate?

Doesn't work right on the VP9.1.2. Just letting people aware of this. Tested by me. The script is outdated.

Well, that all depends on if PataTroX can be located, and we can get his blessings for an update.

That being said, He did a kick-tail job on this table and it appears to have been way ahead of its time.....

I did some more work on it this afternoon. I added some more sounds (like the ball dropping on the basement floor), and animated all of the spot targets. Also, Rascal helped me integrate the animated "going down a hole" Z ball movement for the basement drop hole.

It's a pretty slick looking VP9.12 FS table. wink.gif

I made a FS version without the BG ... Just rotated the table and made it work.... However when I launch the ball, it gets stuck on the left side .. It is the kickout hole closest to the upper playfield... And it won't come back out.... It kicks the ball ,,, just not with enough force to make it eject...

To funny trying to not get in the same place all the time....Hopefully a great FS cab table is coming soon.....

we fixed this way back... i can't remember where or which thread, maybe this one... but we already made a vp8 to vp9 temp conversion... the only thing messed up currently is the scoring, which is okay while we wait for an update.
Nobody seemed interested in the conversion when we last discussed it, so only a few of us have it I guess....

maybe the threads should be merged... Here is the solution for the working kicker:

This does look nice-- Do the VP 9.12 features of inclination/ FOV/ & layback work, I would love to get my hands on this to give it a test. This table could use a little bit of a "keystone" effect.

Change the kickz value to 1.4 rather than what is there.

The ball also get stuck in the "secret passage" (center target).

Yea, I fixed that also, but I can't remember exactly how. I also animated the target flopping down and back up as the ball rolled through it....

Let me know(when you remember smile.gif) what you did so i(we)can fix mine(ours) as well (or pm me table please and i will fix other stuff on it...i didn't notice that part not working as i haven't played it much.... we can probably even import BD's PF for now, but really that would be spoiling the upcoming event smile.gif

Right now only my scoring is messed up and that drop target....so it gives a good impression of what is coming!!

@Mitchell, you give up too easy!! smile.gifsmile.gif

EDIT:I just played it again and i don't seem to have any problems on mine except for scoring, everything else is working...I just got a high score of E118IW smile.gif smile.gif

Sounds like either the incorrect font is being used or the font that is supposed to be used is not on your system (just a guess though).

Not able to look at my version of this right now so I can't verify which font is supposed to be used.

The TEXT boxes seem to use "Williams Pinball" for the font.
