Peanuts Modded for vp8 and 'A' button play

Version: 1
Category: VP 8.x Originals

Author(s): Faralos , Decidetto ('A' button mod coding)

Description:
This is one of the tables that have been converted to play using just the 'A' button. It has also been modded to play in VP8
This table was converted on a request from Petunia. I tweaked it to play in vp8, changing the translucent ramp for one that will work in vp8 and older versions of vp. Decidetto has volunteered (poor guy) to convert or help me to convert many tables to play this way. Fish Frenzy, Elvis, Goonies, are but a few to be converted.
This pin will play using only the 'A' button and has a permanent center post. great for people with limb dexterity limitations or kids whose reflexes aren't that great yet!

Hey, why would I be a poor guy? smile.gif
I wouldn't have volunteered if I didn't want to do more tables!

That's great! I have a cousin who has cerebral palsy. I'll be damned if I can't get her hooked on pinball now smile.gif

also check out rascals tables Frosty and Snow White...both of those games are able to be played with just A.

glad it is already helping. maybe now more people who can't handle two independent flipper buttons will get into this hobby!

Rascal's charlie and the chocolate factory might be modded with A too. I'm not sure about his wormholes table though.

I do know that on rascal's tables that have this they can be played with or without A but if A is pushed it will automatically put a post between the flippers and have walls covering the outlanes.

Wouldn't it be easier to hit the Spacebar with your elbow, rather than the A key? whistle.gif

The high score feature might be a problem in my case. Is there a way to disable it?

Oooooops! Didn't think of that in converting Fish Frenzy!
Gotta try to disable the high score code.

No, she plays with her elbow and a special mouse that is linked to the letter A. She types with a headpointer. You guys are awesome for doing this for her. She really likes to play her pinball. Pet likes to compete for high score, so leave highscore in for her.

That's all right. I can probably sort it out myself.

Why would you need highscore disabled? It shouldn't hurt anything to leave it on.

Although I'm not usually too crazy about modding my tables if anyone is interested in converting mine for Petunia and others like her, feel free. I don't really have a lot of time right now and I'm not sure how to do it anyway.

Thank you for helping Faralos (Fabio, which I call him by) on the tables. I appreciate it.
Thank you again.

she is sending me the ones SHE likes or already has, these are not my choices of tables. So, it's up to her if she wants any of yours, Itch, no offense meant here, she actually liked my peanuts table (which is dirt simple with the coding) so that one was modded too. but most of the others are older vp6 or vp8 tables (elvis, 3 stooges, Goonies, etc) she will be sending me probably quite a few over the next few weeks (days?) and hopefully Decidetto won't get too burned out redoing them all as i still get lost with trying to input the coding. I am doing just one other thing to the tables, just a minor tweak (mostly table slope as a few of them play slow) as for permission from the table authors so far Black and Rocketman are still missing, but everyone else has given me permission to redo their tables. ( the ones I had asked so far, anyways) I located an email addy for Black; he lives in Aussy land, today so will wait a while on him to reply. Rocketman has gone underground. his last post was 3 years ago anywhere! but I asm still searching. I have been Unbanned over at gopinball so i will post a search for him there too. personal issues aside i really liked fp when it ran on my now long-deceased computer! apparently he had a hand in the build of both FP and VP so I hope someone can locate him. Black apparently is a good friend of him so we'll see
