Child's Play

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Faralos

Description:
Child's Play is the result of a contest between Itchigo and myself. This is my final result. I could find NO sounds at all and could not get hold of the dvd in time to pull any sounds of him, so although he is its theme the sounds are generic.
This is Child's Play. My table result from the contest between Itchigo and me. I still have a problem with the bonus light countdown and my coding is a nightmare, also your table looks more polished so I concede!
Hit the top lanes to increase the multiplier, drop the targets to find the bonus area! I could not find any sounds of Chucky in time so all sounds in it are generic! (except the two songs, while not coming off the soundtrack they are moody! imo anyway.
Enjoy the pin, yeah I know about the bonus light problem so if anyone can figure that out and fix it please, be my guest! it drove me nuts!
I just reuploaded the table, those of you who already have it please remove those three cheat walls! the two outlanes and that middle one. thanks! duh. silly me...
ok this is now the THIRD revision in under an hour! I realized that three top table switches were not set to that specific surface. rather than have a flawed table go out I am honestly posting about it and and putting up the fixed table!
Sigh... ok now thatI have a way of getting sounds from Youtube this is absotively, posolutely, the last revision as this one now has some Chucky sounds in it!
So finally rev # 4! after the original came out too. ah well.

faralos,
Thanks for the release! As for sounds, I'm not sure if you tried this (or if there is anything available) but possibly you could try to find some video clips on Youtube and use Audacity to record the sound bites you want.

much as i tried my version of audacity didn't record from there nor from Itunes Nor netflix since it is a copyrighted version it always came back as white noise. It sounded terrible I couldn't even clean up the hiss at all so decided to just stick with the better generic sounds. I also have 'Replay Converter' and 'SoundTap Streaming Video Recorder' but again it's a copyright thing. If I had the disc itself I could have used two programs of mine, but it's also a money thing and now the disc is on back order! If I ever decide in the future to use any sounds off it I'll redo the table. and repost it again.

Nice work Faralos.

Nice job on the DMD.

173,000 on my first game.

I think we should be rewarded for completing the 3 lights at the top after getting the 5X bonus.

Sometimes the ball gets stuck in the top lanes. It works its way out slowly.

it did on mine too. I though it was because of the rendering problems my computer likes to do to me.. do a favor and raise that red ramp up by5 on to the top and bottom ends, that may clear the ball as I think as the ball hits the drop wall it raises enough to graze the underside of the ramp. just a thought as I have not tried that yet.

Firefox + "Download Helper" extension is your friend... I've grabbed a few youtube videos with audio and didn't have a problem yet. (usually can be saved as an MP4 file to make extracting the MP3 file much easier)

Download helper is an add on for Firefox. I have been using it with flashget and the flashgot plugin for a long time now. It's good for saving video and audio files. smile.gif

ok I just installed it into my firefox browser, now tonight I'll give it a whirl as I'd much rather have Chucky's voice (or at least his maniacal laugh) in the new childs play pin. as well as a few choice quotes for the dogtown wip too, since that is my next wip in line. I have already fleshed out a table of sorts (on paper this time, first) for the 'Madhouse' wip too! and will be using my some of my neighbors pics from his site I posted about a few days back.
