File Name: Old Coney Island (Game plan 1979)

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 20 Dec 2016

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Gameplan
Year: 1979
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

The table is based on the Game Plan table from 1979.
Thanks to Jolo for the pictures of his own Old Coney Island.

Some notes about the table:
- Copy the nvram file, coneyis.nv, to the nvram folder. This file has the replays levels already set up. Otherwise they will need to be configured before the table is playable.
- I have included inkochnito's dip switches setup, so press F6 and check that you have the options you prefer.
- This table's ROM support chimes. I don't think the chimes were installed in the production table. But they are there and those solenoids are activated during play. If you prefer to play with those chimes then you need to change the value of the Const UseChimes = False to Const UseChimes = True

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Great table JPSalas!! Looks and plays great!! 5 Stars!!

If you listen to the sound effect when you hit the spinner, it will remind you of Chopper Command from Atari 2600, after completing level, or Missle Command after completing level!!

Love this work of art!!

Thanks!!

Thanks JP great job!

A couple of bulbs are visible in front of the bumpers, and since I was in the area I have noticed that the cap of the bumper 1 is not aligned with the base.

Thanx JP! :D
Plays great....physics are really good.....maybe abit to fast to be an old SS table, but that just makes it more challenging and fun!
As picky as i am......in DT...the sides of the mainbox should be white. If having wood...the grain goes in the wrong direction! :)

There are some overlapping Reels.

I have pegs a little more round, if you want,

the seat of the rubber is 32 units high, you can change the Z size of the peg to adapt to a different height.

Thanks!

Thanks kiwi :)

I know I overlapped the reels, but I thought it was only the black parts. But I see  that in your picture. My screen is 2560x1440 and they looked ok to me :) I can fix that.

I'll see to adjust those pegs too. :)

4.0.1 Updated 23.10.2022
- adjusted the reels in the desktop view, and removed visible bulbs (looked like pegs :) )

Thanks again kiwi :) The "pegs" were the light bulbs that were visible, that happens when I make last minute changes :)

Digit 6 does not have the top segment and its value does not have to be counted (value 1),

and digit 9 does not have the bottom segment (value 8).

4+8+16+32+64=124

4+8+16+32+64+128=252

1+2+4+32+64+128=231

Patterns(7) = 124
Patterns2(7) = 252

Patterns2(10) = 231

At first it seems to work, it is when the display refreshes or flashes that the digit 6 and 6 with comma is not visible,

the 9 is visible despite not having the right value.

I don't have the mechanical (SSF) sounds of the 3 bumpers. Only the vpinmame sound.
Is that correct ? Or is it just my screwed 10.7.2 installation ?

Nevermind ... the sound of my SSF back exciters was set to low. Think the grand kids made a prank ...
