10 years ago (or more :) ) we experimented with air balls, and we found out that VP was not made for air balls. The ball at that time was a simple squared plane which could get stuck all over the place. Nice to see that now it is possible to add that again. But I guess that it still needs to be controlled or watched very closely :)

Its definitely doable now. But there is a lot of tuning involved as to ensure that its not under or over-exaggerated. Plus as has already been seen here on FH, there have been many places where the ball has landed, and gotten stuck. Hopefully I have those areas addressed.

Have you guys had a ball launch that landed on the wire ramps and continues down to the left shooter lane? Yep...that happens on occasion, just like the real one.

The next evolution in this air-ball could be that when there's a hard hit on the glass, it would crack it  :D

Really would not be that hard to do. A simple image with "cracks" could be overlayed when the ball hits the plane. Voila...busted glass? Axis should go for it! :dblthumb:

This table is simply stunning. I love the high walls that provides the depth a real pinball table has. Makes you feel this is VP and you are playing the real thing. Thank you for all the hard work each and every one of you continue to put forward in this amazing hobby.

I really require screen shots or similar to address this. Even a "mocked-up" pic would greatly help.

I circled where it is getting stuck in this pic.

Pretty sure the ball sticks there too on my real pin. And its not possible to free it without pulling the glass.

So what to do...what to do with the air-balls? Should I hack in an invisible shield to prevent this particular ball stick? Or leave it as-is and when it happens, simply chalk it up as a "call attendant" type thing that could likely end your game. :unknw: I mean if you were playing the real thing in a store or a place without someone who could retreive it, you would lose your game. I mean this actually does add realism, just like the real thing. Hmmmmm...kind of a dilemma.

What do you guys think? Add a an invisible shield, or call it "shit happens" just like real pinball? I also think you can force a ball to appear in the shooter lane by tapping B on the keyboard. I don't quite recall.

Could you add the shield as an option? It could get annoying if it happened a lot. Just a thought.

Well if it indeed does stick there on the real version I'd say add an option for a shield and let the player decide if they want it or not if that's possible.  My problem is that it gets stuck there every time I play and even after I restart the ball will still be there or a random second ball will fall out of nowhere during play, it has kind of been ruining this otherwise amazing table.

Okay I'm working on a rev that has a pair of ramps in that problem area. If the ball lands there, it should nicely and as realistically as possible just roll off. My goal is to make a shield that does not cause some weird ball action when hit.

Also making a material change to normal Rudy, to give him a bit more shine. Currently, it looks too flat.

Yes, there's an issue with the hidden hallway.  Sometimes the ball passes right through the ejector disc.  For example, during multiball, after the first ball kicks out, the second passes straight through the ejector disc before it can kick the ball.

Light Step Ramp Shot hole bugged , ball get stuck there, nothing happening. Not sure if it was happening before latest release ( im a noob of VP for about a week now ).

But beside that bug, amazing stuff really, one of my favorite pin, so well done!

edit: Realize some older version were available. Iv tried 1.3, and it work fine. 2.0a and 2.0b seem to have that bug ( hole of Score Gangway value seem blocked too in 2.0a and 2.0b)

The table requires vpx 10.6 or the ball won't go in those holes.

Anyone noticing that Rudy's mouth and the trapdoor are working slow, or in slow-motion? They are on my cab anyway. I have seen this before, but it cleared up. But now its back.

Let me know and if there is an issue, I will get it fixed.

Just tried it on my cab, fully updated VPX 10.6, plays great, no slow downs. Got me worried there for a minute, this one is in my favorites.. Thanks wrd for keeping an eye on this masterpiece!

Hmm I wonder if I have a HW limitation. Rudys mouth is definitely in slow motion here. Yeah I am always watching it. I have a few small things I might do to it fairly soon.
