easier to just change script

yes and no I have a second screen to the left of my portrait mode monitor with the DMD and backglass.

Uh dude!

Why are you not just running a non rotated cabinet mode then?

Test this for an autopov.pov

and set vpx as cab mode

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<POV>
	<fullscreen>
		<rotation>0</rotation>
	</fullscreen>
</POV>

It should give you cab mode, which is kind of what you want anyways so tables will just see showDT as 0

and hide stuff you dont want to see anyways

but will flip cab mode to your portrait screen, or i should say will NOT flip it.

Then you probably will never have to fiddle with a script again, for that aspect of it anyways.

That would also take care of when a table uses one set of lights for DT view angle, and a different set for cab view angle.
Some tables do that to keep the lighting looking proper.

this is my setup until my cabinet arrives.

LOL that is a cab, kinda

Now you just need ultra wide backglasses
Or Ultra LONG tables

Someone should do a custom original table for ultra wide screens

Granted, it's audience would be small, but you could do one of those crazy DOS tables from 1990 kind of
with the long playfield with multiple areas that you try and work the ball up into

UPDATE

3.0.3 Updated 25.02.2022
- fixed the ball lost during multiball by adding a playfield mesh with holes and removing the old kicker ball animations.
- made a separate LE revision of the table with different graphics and color leds.

This revision is mostly to fix the problem with missing balls. In the end, after a lot of testing, I found out the problem happened during multiballs when a ball was entering the hole and at the same time another ball was on its way out, Then the ball entering was kicked out and the the other one was also kicked out, but the first one was never registered, and this way there was suddenly a mismatch of balls on the table. So to fix that I removed the ball falling into the hole animation and I added a playfield 3D mesh with a real hole.

This time I have uploaded 2 tables:
- Attack from Mars 3.03: this is the normal/standard version without too many extras, like targets decals. Still it has the rotating red leds.
- Attack from Mars LE 3.03: this is more or less the remake version (or LE). I said "more or less" because in the remake they added a lot of led effects, which they are not in this table. But still you'll find the leds in color,red, green and blue. in the big ufo and the red and green leds on the saucers.

In both tables you'll find 2 options in the script

Const bRotateSaucers = False
Const bRotateBigUFO = False

In the normal/classic version they are both off, but in the LE they are on by default. Just change them as you prefer. The rotation is quite slow :) Still the leds (and the saucers) will rotate at different speeds depending on the progress attacking the UFO :)

Have fun!

JP are you ok? hope so...

I noticed on the LE table that, at least for me in cabin mode, the flying saucer's dome moves in disagreement with the saucer... it looks like it's loose on top of the saucer, is this happening to anyone else?

I have just checked and yes, in FS mode it moves a little differently. But the dome is separated from the body of the ufo, it actually is a escape pod :D I can see if I can adjust it a little :)

I found what is causing the big ufo to start moving differently from the dome. The center of the ufo is not 100% in the middle, so it doesn't rotate perfectly. So for now just turn off the rotation of the ufo changing the line from True to False:

Const bRotateBigUFO = False

I'll need to recheck the ufo's mesh.

Well, it is not the ufo's mesh that it is not centered. Apart from the graphics, which are not really centered :), the problem is that I rotate only the ufo and not the dome, so when applying a force from the x and y coordinates they are applied from a different angle when it rotates, and this is why they go out of sync. So, if it disturbs to you the the "scape pod" :) moves differently than the ufo's body then just turn off the ufo's rotation, at least until I find a solution :)

@jpsalas Thank you for your continued work on these amazing tables. Your Attack from Mars table was the very very first virtual pinball I ever played, and from that moment on I was hooked. Now, our whole family plays it! Can't wait to try the LE version!

Both tables are the same, only the LE has a few more decorations :) But the game play is the same :) AFM has always been my favorite table :) Well together with TOTAN and Ripley's :)

What? no leave it
It is great, i thought it was a feature, that the UFO was coming apart

Well, if I was Microsoft, I should call that a "feature" too, hahaha
