The release notes said works ok in VP9_DX9, so i dropped VP9_DX9_test6.exe in my VP folder and tried to run the table, but it doesn't load.  says machine terminated or something to that effect and then a render error.....i'm thinking there is more to it than just dropping in the dx9 .exe file in the folder.  any ideas?

You probably just need to select "windowed mode" in the VP video options.

Hi bitupset,

Arcade4 is right, change to Windowed Fullscreen please. I almost always get this when switching between 921 and DX9.

something not right when I switch between 9.2.1 and dx9a.  Sometimes with 1920x1080 windowed mode stays other times it doesn't .  Always when I switch running 9.2.1 and the test dx9 builds. Any ideas?   Great table though, so much fun.

Hi Slydog43,

the Windowed Fullscreen mode is unique to DX9. So when switching back to 921 VPinball is in a undefined state. Sometimes it behaves normal, using the old fullscreen setting and sometimes it switches to one of the windowed modes.

if you switch between full and windowed screen it changes it in both versions no matter what you select in one the other will use it too.

Michael , today i had some games on your latest version and encountered an error i never had with your table before.

when counting up the hits on the sandbag i got stuck

i could still hit the sandbag - also heard the impact sound - but the lights didn't cound up any more to reach "ready for fight" !

i restarted the table - another fine game , later i had the same strange error again..

anyone ever had this error ?

i am sure i never had it before and i played this table aaaaaa lot :D because it is that fun !

maybe it only occurs on dx9-9a ....

i will investigate this more and also try you second last version .. which i did not test so much

Hi gogo69,

the only thing I changed with the sandbag is that I ignore weak hits now. If You hear the (ROM generated) hit sound and maybe the boxer shakes, then the hit was registered properly.

Is the "sandbag completed" LED active?

I will also look into this.

Michael

ok testet some more i guess i was an idiot and the complete light was on.

just testet the tabel with latest dx9 v10 but the ropejump is not working with this beta

it is spinning at full speed and you can't jump

still works with 9a - can you test the table with v10 and check if you get the same error ?

so now get the rope swing at full speed on every beta .. going to delete the nv ram and try the latest dx7 version

ok deleted the nv ram ... tried beta again still broken

so i tried latest dx7 version works again

back to beta v10

still works ?

i hope i don't have to understand this LOL

no idea what went wrong

Wow...the boxer looks superb!  Thanks so much!  I am having issues with the jump rope, however, which I did not have in previous versions...either the rope will continue to spin while the ball is in play and when you get the ball in the kickout hole that kicks it up the jump rope, I've had two different events occur:

1.  The ball will sit in the kickout hole until the rope eventually stops spinning, then kick the ball up to the jump rope, and you will hear the coach say "flip kid flip" and the rope will start spinning again, but when you press the flipper buttons, the ball doesn't jump and just gets knocked off by the rope, or,

2.  The rope will continue spinning and the ball gets kicked up to the jump rope and doesn't get "caught" by the magnet so the jump rope mini game never begins.

I seem to have that happen also .... I will try the nvram tonight ... I also have very slow to respond speed bag flippers, I have to hit the button many time to get the fists to move to hit the ball.
Other than that the table looks great and I love the boxer animation. The wife says we need to find a real one to play and she also said it would be cool to own one. WooHoo !!! Close enough to yes for me ... lol

Hi,

the rope jump really gives me headaches. It is not clear what causes the wrong behaviour. Sometimes the table "heals" itself after a while, but the problem can be quite persisting. For me restarting the table works almost every time.

I never experienced issues with the speed bag. Maybe all the GI and flasher stuff I added to version 2 is too much for the DX7 version on some PCs. DX9 will solve all those performance related issues.

Michael

I do have 2 problems:

1. My playfield is moved out of place downwards

2. I cannot get a uvp or direct backglass running although i set:

Const B2SActive = 1                                    '1 activates the B2S server

Problem one : With the table loaded click the OPTIONS button and the BACKDROP buttons. On the right side of the editor you should see a BACKDROP menuAttached File  test.png   47.86KB   12 downloads

The Xoffset value will move your table up and down.

As for problem two: I don't know of anything tricky there as far as I remember setting that to 1 is all you need do.  Do you have the B2S file named exactly the same as the table?

Hi Energetics79,

this seems to be the table dimensions, as only the background picture is distorted and the table objects are in it's place (hence no x/y scale issue). Please check the value, it should be a 1000 by 2000 approx. If all fails, please redownload the table.

Michael

xscale 1,35

yscale 2,11

is that right?

I redownloaded but no change

the FS 2_3 Version is perfect

the 2_3_a_DX9 Version is faulty though all settings in backglass are the same
