Why am I only getting the DMDext on my full DMD LCD and not also the color animated display for Aliens Legacy? 3 screen setup. 

Brand New Nov23 Baller Installer new installation.

Everything else works. Both work in the two screen mode on backglass.

 

check dmddevice.ini, make sure show virtualDMD is set to true?

 

have to show it if you want one to go on an LCD

So, you're saying that the animated, colorized display is the virtualDMD and the DMDext (which I have working on 3rd LCD display) is the actual scoring DMD that is the default orange dot matrix?

DMDExt will only mirror the FP "DMD". The 128x32 dots display.

 

The LCD display / videos on some tables are not a DMD.

you would have to give a specific table as an example

you if you are talking about a backglass display in FP that is not a DMD, then those dont go anywhere else.

 

PUP content may, but no idea if you are talking about PUP content?

OK, FP Aliens Legacy is a Pinevent Lite table so I'm assuming it's just a back glass animated display that can't be moved. So I'll just use it that way. It would have been perfect to have the full backglass image without the displays and both the animated and score displays on the 3rd fullDMD display.

You can mirror the DMD, and then move the DMD object outside the backglass boundaries 

but other backglass video elements cannot be moved to another screen

 

I dont have the pinevent version of that table but i have the older ultimate badass version, i do not suppose the backglass is much different between the two

I'm new to this. I don't know how to do this yet. Is that something you can do that's table specific? Or is it a global thing that will mess up other tables?

BTW, @2:07 it says "video screen on apron option"? They mean a separate video screen right? Not the actual apron?

Only the DMD can be mirrored

Not the video display

 

 

Video Screen on Apron means what it says

You can display video on the TABLE's apron

Hi guys.  I am at my wits end trying to get DMDtext to work on Future Pinball (virtual DMD).  I have the AIO pack and when I run the bat file it comes up with a bunch of statements in the prompt then disappears and no DMD display triggers..  Any thoughts?

Be sure the AIO zip was not blocked by Windows before extracting.. Be sure you copied the dmddevice.,ini from the dmdext folder to the main FP folder where dmdext.exe is located. then run the DMDExt_FP.bat to satrt dmdext.exe. If you are getting errors... then something on your system may be blocking or restricting fils in the FP folder.

FP DMD display and score gets garbled and is unreadable for non-English players

 

SOLUTION BELOW!

 

 

For some players who have Windows set to a non-English language, their FP DMD becomes garbled, and the score and text becomes unreadable. This is something I couldn't see myself as my Windows is always set to English. Well finally, there might be a solution for those who have this issue! We simply need to tell FP that the locale is US in the table script!

 

 

Just goto the table's script, and at the top add the line below under Option Explicit

 

 

SetLocale 1033 'set region to US to fix some issues with the DMD and more (for non-english settings in Windows)

 

 

Save the table. Done!

 

 

This was confirmed by multiple non-English people to fix their DMD related problems and also some PUP related problems.
