I play desktop mode without backglass, version 1.4.1 good word:

​Error Line 876: PlaySound" Ballrelease, 0, BGVOLUME
Error Line 2918: PlaySound "Gamereset", 0, BGVOLUME

Error Line 537: BgVolume = (BgVolume + 0.02)

Error Line 1016: Case 1 : PlaySound "launch1", 0, BgVolume

 

I managed to run the table once, I pressed the magnasave keys left and right and after that such an error gets out

 

 

What version of VPX are you using?
Because you are blowing up an error just changing the volume (line 537)
Show me the full error message word for word

You dont have the ROM setup right in vpinmame
you need to enable cabinet mode, it you are going to get any vpm notices it may have about a given ROM

That seems like something is amiss with the vpx install
no one should get a type mismatch with the command playsound

Not sure what you are showing me here, it is just the top part of the script

 

go into vpinmame\nvram folder, delete the heavymtl.nv file to reset the rom

Load the table, dont start a game
press right or left magnasave keys, what error does that give you?

I reinstalled VisualPniball, and the table earned again, but when I pressed the magnesave to the left and the right
and left the table, then I could no longer play

 

error line 2918: Playsound "gameReset", 0, BgVolume

I play in desktop mode

what is the rest of the error?

 

Go to folder

 

Visual PinballX\User\
rename VPReg.stg to VPReg.stg.bak

 

launch table
dont press magnasave and dont press lockbar file

Try to play table, does table play then?

Something is going wrong for you when you change the volume, and will probably go just as bad when you change the LUT

and the volume and LUT get saved, so you dont have to set them every time, so they get reloaded when you reload the table

 

and for some reason you are winding up with invalid or corrupt data, though i cannot tell you why

I just stopped touching Magnasave and the table works, but there are problems I do not have video fragments on Flexdmd.

In the HvyMtl.DMD folder there is .wmv files. Flexdmd does not show them

post your flexDMD log and dmddevice log

From the direct output website? Yes

 

 

You will need to ask someone how to edit the dofconfig and reduce shaker intensity in it
But you should not have any shaker going on when you just start the table, the shaker is triggered by the same thing that makes the BOOM sound
which doesnt happen until you shoot the ball

 

You may also need to adjust how long your shaker pulse duration is

When I start the table, the shaker shakes violently at full strength and ball disappears into the shooting lane/ball storage place. 

is there a way to turn off or turn down the shaker? i adjusted in DOF config so that all my tables has a good level of shake, but this table seems different from all the other tables.

 

 

 

Just finished refining the DOF with Outhere, but the shaker motor never came up as an issue at all
None the less, to see if it prevents you from having an earthquake, i have the ball trough solenoid issuing a DOF shaker OFF
any time a ball is ejected into the shooter lane.

That should ensure you are not starting a game with it shaking

Now if you quit mid game and then start again, you may well start at a point that the shaker should be on
but the ball being put into the shooter lane should turn it right off

(reason being this ROM resumes game in progress on power loss, as do many Taito controllers)

I have tested this game many times And have never seen the shaker motor to that

I have tested this game many times And have never seen the shaker motor to that
 
Try deleting this file and start a new game what does it do then?

Thought also about deleting the shaker from DOG config if I cant fix it.

** BIG HUGE ** Thanks to Outhere, who spend several days running the table on his cab
and going through the DOF and working out what worked in practice as opposed to theory.

(like we discovered that if the screen says Hey vpinmame, lets hold up for about 6 seconds before we proceed, DOF doesnt care and does it's thing without waiting
shutting the beacons off as fast as they got turned on
)

 

As well is checking SSF, since his cab is set up to get proper feedback on how it is working, opposed to me running it through a full 8 channel surround system
and guessing.

 

For those of you with lots of DOF toys, you will find the effects better spread out to different toys rather than reusing the same smaller set of toys
for several different functions.
Those without lots of toys it will work how they always do for you.

 

This could not have been possible without Outhere's time and effort, both in helping work with the table, and with building the configuration for it on the DOFConfig tool
site.

 

So if you like the table be sure to give him a shout out

I understand now.  As a desktop user with no cab I wasn't sure if I needed this or not. Thank you!
