Since the other authors happen to be busy, and I'll need a project once Diner is done, I've been thinking perhaps of taking this on.

Do any authors have a partial build of this already going on in VP9? Don't want to step on any toes....
I am, therefore I run.

JP and I spoke about doing a collab on this on after he was finished his Pirates table...but I don't think I will have the time or strength right now. I would hit him up and see if if you can work together. I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Anything to get this darn thing done is fantastic!!

Cheers,

I have started doing some more tweaks with this table to get it working with vp9. It is coming along not so bad! I can actually play now without it stopping smile.gif

Since everyone seems busy on other things, i am going to try to bring this forward a tad further. If anyone wants to help, please let me know!!!

What do you got? Send me a PM with whatever you have so far if you want. Since I both own the table & mess around a bit in the editor myself, maybe I can help out. I'd at the very least want to give any new version a test drive before it gets released. & once I finish my current project I could likely donate larger chunks of time to it if need be.
I hadn't checked in on this thread in a while, glad bodydump was able to make use of some of my images & he did a great job. I just assumed somebody already got going on a new vp9 table but I guess not. I had no idea the art has been sitting here but with no builder yet.

Haunted House was a big favorite of mine. I look forward to seeing it.

Probably my two all-time-favorite Gottliebs were Haunted House and Black Hole (with Target Alpha coming in a close third)

Hey, thanx guys!!!

@Rob- I would love any help for sure Rob! So far, what i have been doing is trying to get the old vp8 version to run in vp9. I am pretty close. The only thing i feel i have left is the main target in the center lower playfield...the one that when hit, is supposed to drop the ball down to the lower PF. I sent it to JP the other day, and he says it needs to be rescripted, and after looking closely at it, he is correct.

It looks as the original author was making this following logic, but incomplete: Ball hits target, target drops, ball goes behind target into kicker hole, which destroys ball, ball recreated in lower kicker hole....but this logic is broken in the original script. I am not sure if this somehow worked in vp8, but it certainly doesn't work in this version.

JP says this table is lined up in his hit list very soon, but not just yet as he is doing upgrades right now from his other tables...I think once he is ready, this can go quite quickly... I am doing mostly aesthetics, but without a good foundation, i may be wasting my time smile.gif There are others here who could do a better job but seem either busy or lacking interest in the table, but i know there are a handful of us who really want it done- SOON!

Rob, I will PM what i have so far later today if that is okay...today is my daughters 11th b-day and we are just preparing for that, but i will send you what i have. I think i have all your resources btw- the many scans and pics of the table, i kept the zip from way back, but maybe i can reupload it to my mediafire so you can see all that i have to see what else i may need? Thanx for the offer of assistance!!!!
Cheers,
Maceman

ps. I now have animated rollovers and targets working!! I need BD's PSD files for a later date when we get to the playfield/plastics!

Hi Guys,

After fiddling with this for a bit, it has become clear that a whole rebuild is better suited for this table. The width of the original is wrong and would take too much effort to fix, better just to start over..... I just spoke with JP who will be ready to start this in about 2 months, which is very little time away- hooray!!!

So instead of fiddling further, I am going to wait for JP, and perhaps assist in some graphics to make the best table possible. He only has a few mods on his own older tables to do and then this table is top of list!!!

JP will do a much faster and better job, and I am just thrilled this will get done!!!

Cheers,
Maceman

That sounds great, I modded the VP8 table also which works alright I guess, but nothing compared to a rebuild by the master JP.
The only other table I have on my list to be done with Champion Pub, please someone pick this one up.

The only real pinball I can remember playing in my youth (at that time I was more into arcade games). I did play this one though, because I was intriged by the theme, 3 levels and sounds. Also remember it was probably the shortest game I ever played on any machine. I am sure I will do better on JPs table wink.gif
I am looking forward to any creation of JP, all his tables are excellent and are worth adding to my collection. This one is a bit more special though, so very good news he is taking up this challenge.

Yes, I'll make the table. I wanted to make just some updates first because I have little free time and too much to do at work, and to make updates I don't need to think too much since I have done the table before so the script is teh same and it is already tested smile.gif. But I guess I can start with the table now and it will take less time to complete. I have promised my boss to update the active directory from windows 2003 to windows 2008 R2 in 2 weeks, so I need to get start reading smile.gif We need this to be in place first to add a new disc system, because we want to use DFS, and we need AD and DFS in full windows 2008 R2 mode. After that I'll need to move about 25TB of data between the old disk system (SAN and NAS from EMC) to the new one, and I'll need to move the profiles and home disks of the users, and most of all the databases, so more work to do during the evenings and weekends. And after that they want me to build a disaster recovery site on another location, with most of the data and the domain controllers, this is where the DFS will work a lot. And they want all these before August. I don't think I'll manage to get it done by that time. They can be happy if they get the new disk system in place. Oh well, I can't complain: I have a job smile.gif

So I'll start with the table and I'll work with it whenever I can. But it will take some time to complete smile.gif

I need the plastics, so if there is any one out there with the plastics... smile.gif

If needed I can try to scan mine. I just have to find a scanner smile.gif

Yes, Zablon, those plastics are cut off, but they overlap very well, and they are complete. So now I have all I need.
Thanks again.
