Wonderful table guys, I really like the way it plays. I think I will have to play a little bit more to get used to them. Saying they are "wrong" is just preposterous. I actually think this is more like the real thing than many other tables, if not the closest. Not on all accounts though. I do have some issues at times that the ball "sticks" to the flippers though, think someone else mentioned it as well.

I think feedback is great and every author should be open to it, but some of these posts makes my stomach turn. Play nice...
Anyways, thanks once again for this great release! yahoo.gif smile.gif

OH C' MON PEOPLE CUT IT OUT!

You are both being childish frantic over a pinball table. Why don't you work together instead of sharing bad blood? Pinball should bring people together and not create conflicts.

Just because a pinball table doesn't match my expectations that doesn't mean i have to act rude and demanding towards the author:

  • I did not create it.
  • I'm in no position to bring it down.
  • There is always room for improvement.
  • It will hurt other members of the community somehow.
  • Nobody wins a medal by proving it's point.

Don't ever call me childish.

I've been more than amicable, accommodating, even.

Five months of detailed work is more than 'just a pinball'.

So, just drop it, as I am already over it.

Who really cares about flipper settings in that detail? I can't imagine that they are that much different, but I still have to dl and try the table.

Settle the difference/dispute and have fun instead!!!

Every setting is important to how a table plays.

Dude, I've spent MONTHS sometimes on just tweaking the elasticity, friction, coordinates, etc of every object on a table to make it as accurate as possible.

I feel that if I am going to be involved in a release (and GOD BLESS UncleReamus for his talent! There is NO WAY I would ever want to do this without him!), it's going to play as if you walked up to a real machine and dropped your entire allowance!

I've probably played the real version of this table more than any other pinball game that I have not mastered, and I think I score about the same on this as the real one. Capitan Fantastic and Big Chief are about the only ones I walk away from with the maximum credits left for the next person.

Thanks again for it. And thanks for the detailed rules in the info section of the editor. I need to read that!

Plays really good.

If it's of any interrest i have done a playfield and plastics redraw for my FP attempt. Done in Inkscape so it can be as hires as you like.
If you would like a peek to determine if it's any good just PM me.

I don't have this exact table at home, but I do have a Dr. Dude table and I must say that I think that Noah's flippers do act very close to how my Dr. Dude flippers act. If it means anything to anybody, I like them.

Playing a few times, I noticed that this table is simply EXCELLENT in all respects. Particularly I liked physics and lighting effects.

But, without wanting to be a boring dude... and also not wanting to take out the artistic expression of the table... I would like to make a request (humbly)... rolleyes.gif just because I love to play your tables. smile.gif

Well, I noticed that Whirlwind and T2 has the same Inc/Fov: 57/32 (perfect values in my opinion). Noah & RH, is possible to be released a review of the Getaway HS2 table with this same Inc/Fov: 57/32. I even tried to change myself, but I couldn't... The table has some EM Reels. It's hard for me to change! sad.gif When I try to adjust everything goes out of place. Can you explain me how to do?

Anyway, thank you very much for your attention! good.gif

Big Thanks to my friend Hassanchop for this very nice dmd.

Well, dude, you may be in luck. UR and I have been talking about a graphical and physics update to HS2.

I'm not sure why we did HS2 at a slightly different angle, other than maybe the Supercharger angle being a factor.

Will keep you posted.

I wouldn't be opposed to changing the angle a bit. I took a bit of Groni's advice back when I started a lot of other tables and brought the table into a better perspective, although obviously not the same as his self made 'standard'. This was my first table after a LONG break from VP, and I guess we just kinda rolled with what angle I initially used. Like Noah said, we want to go back and adjust the lighting, and physics, so an angle change shouldn't be too big of a deal, but I don't want to promise anything. Besides, we have a handful of tables we want to finish and release before going back to update anything.

I am having a blast with this table. The lighting and the pure speed of the ball flying through those ramps is super.
Will you be making a FS version of this amazing table? I am sure the cabinet fans would be forever grateful!

Thanks for sharing!

One thing I've noticed is that being able to stall and drop-stop the ball is easier than any other VP table I've played cool.gif , (I guess because of the bounce in the flipper) like at the 30 sec. mark here:

Now if I could just pull off a slingshot pass... I'm not complaining, I love this table. I just like my slingshot pass wink.gif .

Well, I wasn't planning to release the update I'm working on for some time, but if there is demand for it, I can update the file.

I've tweaked the flippers, slings, gravity, and slope a little bit to improve flipper passing. I've also increased the recoil velocity, so it now requires greater force to make the flipper 'bounce'.

i would like to check that out paul. i used your settings in my mb wip and really like the feel of them, they seem very realistic to me. I would love to see the improvements you have made and add them to mb also. BTW, this T2 table is really sweet

Updated.

The 'sticky' flipper has been addressed, as has many flipper pass issues.

Don't expect an update on this one any time soon. light66 has supplied us with some FANTASTIC new PF and plastic images, so it's going to be some time before this one gets the complete overhaul I intended.

Enjoy!
