I found a little bug with 10.2.1.  If I open Americas Most haunted when 1st running program, and un remark a few lines, then close the program it does NOT ask me to save changes.

I noticed this too. Just change a little thing in the script, close it, the window title does not show the * at the right of the file to inform where has been modifications and then VPX doesn't ask you if you wanna save before exiting.

On Windows 7 enabling Aero solved my tearing issue, but this caused Hyperpin / FPLaunch to lose focus on some tables. I solved this by changing a line in the Hyperpin settings.ini (useFOCUS    =none). Thought this might help others.

Another quick question. A couple of the VPX tables I'm playing have very transparent ramps. i.e. they are almost not visible is there a way to adjust the ramps transparency?

Will there be a way to have "Overwrite Global Settings" option on the Ball Tab? I would love to have a universal ball that I use and still have the option of using certain special balls on certain tables, like the "eyeball" on the Elvira tables. I hope this makes sense.....

Ok, I think I figured it out... it appears, for me, that "run as administrator" is actually preventing it from working.

If I have it on, both tables fail to switch... if I have it off, both tables work.

Drybonz, you sir are correct, at least by my reckoning.

3 days after Windows 10 update and reinstall of VPX using the installer I was getting dramas all over the place, but the same constant throughout - Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of collection. Parameter name:index.

Tonight after 3 days of trying everything under the sun and I turned off "Run as Administrator" as a last resort and bang, every suspect table worked.

With more and more use of Win 10 I think we need to promote this information more. I have been on here for days searching and since 10.2 came out while I was away for 4 weeks, I thought it must have been new version related. I got there in the end and thats all that matters.

I don't know if the cause is because the tables are converted from VP9 to VPX, the ramp control points give me the wrong real heights, 25, 20, 12,2 units more, a table is Surf'n Safari and the 'other is a WIP.
Even adding a new ramp the real height is not right
, however, the ramp has the right height, is the reading of the real height that wrong.

In other tables started from scratch, the problem is not present.

Not a big problem, but initially created me a bit of confusion.

Yes that's a conversion problem because the control points are different in VP9.

Thanks for the information, as I have already said is not no big deal, just subtract the units more to get the exact height.

I just finished another cab like project for use with my oculus rift.  Pinball FX2 plays so great inside of an oculus rift, I needed to build a mini cabinet to play the games with a more realistic feel.  It works great and got me thinking about playing VP inside of the oculus rift.  I went to try turning on 3d SBS with 10.2, but it doesn't do anything.  Over under works fine, but Side by Side does nothing.  Can Toxie or fuzzel take a look at the latest 10.2 and see if something simple needs to be fixed.  This also affects my real pincab as I have a 3D tv in it, and now I can't use the 3d option (not that I use it very often, just to blow people away with the effect.  Thanks

I don't own a 3d tv so can test this...Maybe Toxie can help here.

but if you check the sbs option. You should see two images side by side on a regular monitor also, try the over under and see it displayed like that, but with the other option it does nothing.

This is very strange, I will make a video and post it showing that this does not work for me anymore, Also where can I find older builds of VP 10.x

This is very strange, I tried older 10.0 and 10.1 that just allowed you to turn on 3d without specifying type and they do work, but on my desktop its top/down and not side by side.  This is what I get on my real pincab with a 3d tv and rotated so its side by side rotated.  I can never get mine like toxies 2 pics.  Not the end of the world as it does work top down with the oculus, I just thought it might look better in the other orientation 1920/2 instead of 1080/2 if that makes sense.

At the moment, I'm working on plastics using walls

If I copy a wall and then change its scale with the object of doing a contour, I have to resize it

Would it be possible to have an "Offset tool" in VPX ?

Here is a snapshot :

Category "nice to have, low priority": In my cab I run the playfield in Landscape mode and when I enter the Lights and Camera mode the text is displayed vertically in the right top corner. Would it be possible to add the option to display this (when in landscape mode) horizontally in the left top corner?

Oh man... that would save so much time.

Another thing along these lines would be the ability to scale multiple items at once without having them all re-positioned after they are scaled (size only not position)

Sorry that is not possible. We had to add some kind of image recognition to solve that problem and there are so many different ways how plastic textures can look like it would never work as expected.

Didn't look into the code but a relative scaling should be possible to add.

I second that. While on the subject, I would also wish for some way to make that text stand out more. Like it is today, if the table is very "white" - you can't read the text easily.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
