Are any of you having problems with Pinball Fx2 not saving your settings? For me it keeps reverting back to all of the defaults and losing my high scores. So frustrating!

Check your anti-spyware to make sure that Steam is in the exceptions list.

OK it's Friday and Sorcerer's Lair isn't avalable. What's going on?

Relax, they don't control when Steam updates.  When Epic Quest came out it was at about 2 pm CST.  So I would guess 1-2 hours from now.

Ah OK. I forgot about the Steam factor. that also explains the often updates that Steam does. :D

Sorcerer's Lair is fun.  If I wanted to show them some love, which $9.99 pack is popular?

just installed this in my cab...not to sure about it.....ball physics seem way off.....the ball seems to stick to the flippers and tables seem slow?

Or is it just me?

May have to keep playing to get used to it

BTW anyway to fix the button mapping yet?

Agree with you. I had a little 'naive' phase where I played it, but the physics lack bounce and now I am back to VP. Nothing beats it ATM for cabinets although once FS release cab support I am sure VP and PA will be equally as good,.

It's not the physics; it's the way the tables are designed for home play rather than to eat quarters.  Neil from Zen Studios had a nice post about it on Steam:  http://steamcommunit...938532857578707

No button mapping yet, but they've said it's on the list.  My solution is detailed here:  https://forum.zenstu...cluding-nudging.  But I should add my plunger seems to have gotten less and less reliable over time somehow.  It always moves the on-screen plunger accurately, but doesn't like to sense when you release it correctly.  I often have to manually push it in quickly rather than letting the spring take it in.

Edit:  I will add that I can see it being jarring switching between different pinball games with different table designs.  But once you get acclimated Zen's table designs and in-depth missions are awesome.  It's actually not so different from when you go to a pinball convention and play a bunch of different tables in various conditions from different eras.  Some are much bouncier or have flippers angled lower where it's harder to catch the ball, etc.

If anybody's been waiting for button mapping before trying out pinball FX on their cab.

It's now supported in the latest update.

2 new tables also added, Mars and Excalibur.

i tried mars last night on my cabinet and i have the strange feeling that i get a ton of lag pressing the flipper buttons

works fine in VP and FP but with fx2 it feels like they programmed a little delay to simulate pressing a binball cabinet button which has a much longer stroke than a hit on the keyboard keys

or do i have to change something in my video settings ?

oh! actually i found a good setting :

Nvidia control panel -> 3D Settings -> for PinballFx2 :

maximum pre-rendered frames -> set value to 1

and

vertical sync -> set to : adaptive

works perfect :D
