Didn't the graphic that is behind the table in cabinet mode previously fill the screen in the 1.0 version? It appears to be cutoff now....

Yes. You can't fit the whole backglass there with pinball playfield sized as large as this.

Well you can but the whole machine would look fundamentally wrong and nothing like the real Baby Pac-Man. It's all explained in the previous pages of this thread.

It's cut in half because we wanted more authentic and more correct proportions for the VP table.

This is how the real machine looks like... it's not an ordinary pinball.

Baby-Pacman-Pinbal-Machine-e141668072923

PS: Here's instructions how to resize the DMD

Right click over the DMD -> select "show window border".

Then drag the DMD to the size you want (obviously you want to put it on the backglass area)

Then uncheck "show window border".

Done.

I’m not sure what you are getting at. The back glass and dmd are fine on my second monitor. It’s just that there is a big empty space on my play field that used to have artwork there. What does what you are saying have to do with playing this in cabinet mode?

I don't know how you could play this on a cabinet mode anyway as the table can't be made angle independent (due to Pac-Man video game cabinet being part of the backglass image). It's the FOV (field of view) that was changed.

Maybe this should be labeled as "desktop table", huh?

the table now have the correct aspect ratio... the onler version was "stretched" to fit....   if you like that type of thing.... adjust the POV to your liking

this is what he's talking about... Baby-pacman is like future spa, paragon, hot doggin... these are tables with an aspect ratio far from 16:1 ... so for the objects to look correct, like circle that are round and not oval... there must be some lose in PF real estate, hence the gap...

yes, exactly. Is there any way to put some type of image in there to cover up the empty space?

Sorry if my questions seem stupid but I know nothing about Visual Pinball table creation. I have enough problems installing these great tables....

the answer is yes... make a 16:9 ie 1600x900 image, import it into the image manager, then select it as the FS backdrop

I have a question about the rules. I am not very good at the maze so I want to know if a replay is awarded once per credit at the third maze or can I keep getting a replay on the same credit? I mean I insert one credit and play and get a replay on the third maze.  Can I then get another credit on the thjird maze with the credit I just won?

You can alter the dip switches from F6. There's plenty of options to make the game easier.

Baby Pac-Man maze is the hardest ever made. It's made that way on purpose. The key is to combine pinball and video game strategy and I think this game has captured it so well. Some mazes like the 3rd one are so tough that you need a lot of energizers to get through it. Go to the pinball, earn energizers and then empty the maze bit by bit by shooting to the holes (when blue arrows are flashing). Eat some more and then return to pinball again, etc.

Default settings are free game after 5th maze.

These are the settings most arcades used and what I use on my version. If you want it much easier just make the center arrows stay after draining.

Gl4hhmv.jpg

After the sixth maze the maze walls become invisible. I completed 17 mazes on the real machine. With these settings I've only gotten to maze 6 once haha. Gotta play more.

If you look at the lights in this image they are not round because the y scale is set to 1.1 which actually makes the gap at the top more. If you set the y scale back to 1 and adjust the z offset and x offset the table looks better and the gap at the top is also reduced. Just need to get that primitive to show the whole backpanel image.

Probably not the right way to do it but so the backpanel is not cutoff select primitive3 at the top of the playfield and set RotX to 90

My question still is how many replays can you earn on one credit since if you were very good at the maze youi could keep getting a replay for the fifth maze every time.

Only one replay after the 5th maze. No more replays after that. Breaking the high score earns you extra life... unless you already have an extra. You can't earn more than one to the "reserves". But it's possible to earn extra life multiple times during the game.

And I wasn't that great in the maze. I guess nobody is as the ghosts are super aggressive. Keeping the ball in play in pinball is essential... and eating the mazes bit by bit.
