It will convert to VPX fairly easy, but it needs finished
it has logic flaws, like a penalty kill that ends the game because it never returns the puck

but someone could work from it pretty well to do a vpx version.
It's a good start anyways.

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

Hockey Pinball lives!

Hello, I'm back after many years!

I have a website where I can upload a completed version of this table.

Is this forum still active? I just logged in to see if it is.

I don't have time to upload it tonight, and I need to write some detailed instructions on game play.

Here are some updated screenshots, and the video is the old one from 2017(?) I believe. I will make a new one. A lot has changed since then.

No download link but I have 2 days off from work. I will get it up there. I've played it many times and I THINK I got all the bugs out. I'm really happy with this game. Just realized that I should make any artwork available for the menus, logo I guess.

Hockey Pinball screens and info, download in a day or two:

https://mikeshangout.com/page3.html

Here's a screen that shows what it looks like after you win game 1. It shows one of the trophies (quarter finals, there are two more) down by the flippers. Flashing lights.

This table is complete and I have added it to my website. Should I make a post in the VP Originals forum instead of continuing here in this thread?

Thank you!

It's been a long time since I've played with the editor, other than some recent bug squashing. I'd be willing to try it if someone could advise me on what to do.

Also upgrading it to the newer VP version would be desirable for people, but that seems like a big project. But maybe that too. I have all the original source artwork.

I think I'll post this in the other section of the forum in a day or so, but maybe a few people should try it out first. There is a download link on this page:

https://mikeshangout.com/page3.html

The ZIP file includes a detailed readme as well as a logo/title graphic that can be used in the menu. A few of the screenshots need updating as they show a much older version of the game, but most are up to date.

For anyone interested I also have a near-perfect sim of Computer Space on my website (not pinball!). I mean every tiny detail was painstakingly recreated....you can check it out there. Free download of course. I put a LOT of effort into that one. There is also Front End marquee, snap, video and wheelart for that. Runs in any front end that supports EXEs.

Anyone having problems downloading from that page can try this:

Aaaargh! Okay I've been having weird issues with my website. It works for me right now. Can you right click and "save as"?

Also, until last night I had a non functioning download button with no link. I just uploaded last night. Any chance a refresh would help? Sorry I know you aren't internet illiterate but man I don't know if it's my webhost or the code.

Sorry for the problem.

Actually maybe just try this

That worked thank you!

Yeah, on the site right or left click wouldn't do anything.

Okay thanks for letting me know. The site also comes up with "server not found" on my phone when not using Wi-Fi SOMETIMES. I don't get it (yet). It's a simple site but I used a web builder instead of coding it myself.

Download button works in all my browsers, even the phone when it loads. Very frustrating. Brand new website and host.

Hope you like the game :)

I guess I should make a post in "VP Originals" and upload it to this site.

Sounds good thanks! I'll get a good description ready and update screenshot and video.

That's great to hear, thank you! And you're welcome.

I need to replace the menu screenshot with an updated one. I can't remember where that setting is, maybe the configuration editor or whatever it's called - it's been awhile? Also I can't get the in-menu instructions to change when I edit them.

I also wonder if the 3 goalies should all pop back up when a goal is scored, or at least on an empty-net goal. I can score multiple times on an empty net if I do the face-off quickly and get lucky with where the puck is dropped by the ref.

I know I had reasons for a lot of things that I just don't remember anymore ;-)

I rotated mine to FS for my cab. If you have a BG image you'd like to use I can make one for FS users.

Wow that would be awesome!

So you're saying that you need the background (the score area etc) all on it's own? I can rearrange stuff a bit to fill in the empty space in the center. I've never done it. Does it need to be a specific size/aspect ratio? I assume 4:3. Is there a special place in the editor to do this?

Or do you just need the image itself and you want to do all the rearranging of the fonts etc? If you can tell me what you need from me I'll do it :)

Anyways, ya I'd love to get that done. And I'd be interested to see how the game looks in a FS table!

I'll check back in tomorrow.

What I need is a backglass image you want to use (most cabs are 1920x1080 for the backglass)

I need a normal backglass image, "unlit".

cleanedbackglass.png

I also need a fully "lit" backglass image with all text on it. I don't need reel numbers on it only the text. Everything that's going to come on all at once. I'll cut out each piece of text and it'll pop up at the right time on top of the backglass.

Should I leave the score and other items where they are. I could move them in toward the center more but I'd have to remember how to do that. Probably no big deal.

BTW how can I change the screenshot in the table selection menu for my table? I can't remember or figure out where to do that. It's an old out of date image.

To replace the screenshot you can go to the image manager and reimport it to overwrite the old image.

The image host is not working right or I'd send a picture. You can make a backglass like this one.
