Thanks JP, this table is great fun but I don't hear any sound/music on this table.
I checked all options but I can't get it to work.
All my other tables (VP9/VPX) are working fine except for this one. Am I missing something?
Other question, is it possible to move the DMD to the backglass?
Cheers, Floydian

In the zip file you will find a text file with the script without the DOF commands. Try copy/paste the script and see if it works better. I only play using one screen and I do not use DOF, but the DOF script works quite well for me.
The table uses plain wav files, just like all the mechanical sounds in all the tables, so it should work without any problem. You should check if you have the volumen too low, press the + and - keys and see if the vp volumen is ok.
It is not possible, for now, to move the DMD to the other screen. The DMD is done with reels. But sooner or later the VPX team will manage to make VPX work with two or more screens.

check your settings in preferences, audio options, choose main system, and with vpx 10.2, keys nudge and dof, choose both for all dof controller options, published script is fine, for desktop, fs, dof or not dof, b2s or not b2s ![]()

I'm not a pokemon fan, though I am a fan of this table, so I just needed to adjust the DT settings to include all the apron art, whilst keeping the whole table view as big as possible, thanks JP and VPX developers, it is great to have these flexibilities built into the VPX engine without having to adjusting many other table elements.
You know I just had to include it all! ![]()

what are you guys 3 feet tall or something? can you even see over the lockdown bar? ![]()
I'm going the other direction, my DT views are getting more and more like my cabinet views as I want to see them like I'm standing and playing them. Yes it doesn't fill the screen as much, but meh.

Hey thanks for the reminder, I need to dig a couple milk crates out of the rafters, grandkids may be coming in a couple months for a visit, although I think they use a bar stool at their house.

Hmm. Seems I have problems too. Not only related to this table but also to AMH and Gargamel Park. I can play sounds but not music regardless if I use *.mp3 or bgout_*.mp3 as file name. Using the current build of VP 10.2 at the moment. MP3 on VP9 with bgout works.
Too tired to continue testing today, does MP3 on bgout work for you on the current build? (VP10.2 rev2792)

For me it's not about being 3 foot tall or 9 foot 10, it's all about increasing the table view as much as possible to fill the monitor, whilst including the instruction cards. Also it is a video game, a 2D representation of a 3D object so I'd say you cannot assume it represents any particular real life view.
Good old PacDude used to love this topic often referring to the nose on glass view or NBA player view, when it is not either. Inclination refers to the view front to back, greater inclination actually inclines the back view of table further forwards. Field of View is the width of the view side to side, when you think about it, in real life both parameters are actually nonsense and are really only useful as formula to resolve a 3D view onto a 2D plane.
All that said the settings I posted are actually not very different from the original JP settings.
Oh and I've been recently having another go at increasing the table view of Golden Arrow and this looks splendid to me. ![]()

Have you ever loaded the sound codecs - or use pinballx - which I think loads this for you...
Try playing the mp3 outside of vp. Perhaps use lame or http://shark007.net/ codec?

Good call but no, it isn't the codecs. I messed around with the settings a bit, now it works for me.
This is not related to this table or Arngrim's DOF mod, but just in case somebody runs into the same problem:

These are my audio options. They used to work, I don't know at which VPX-Version music output stopped working. This configuration still works with VP9, where I get music and sounds set to bgout on the backbox speakers, on VP10.2 I only get sounds set to bgout and no music.
If I select "Primary Sound Driver" instead of "Backbox Speakers" in VPX music and bgout sounds work as intended, note that the SB X-Fi/Backbox Speakers are the default playback device.
It doesn't seem to matter whether the mp3 files are named something.mp3 or bgout_something.mp3, music always comes out of the BG speakers. Works for me, I can't think of a single use case where the music should come out of the cabinet speakers instead.

I'm having a little bit of problems launching the table. Can someone point me in the right direction? I get the following script msg:
Line: 255
Variable is undefined: 'DOFFlippers'
(and in the script):
PlaySound SoundFXDOF("fx_flipperdown",101,DOFOff,DOFFlippers), 0, 1, -0.05, 0.15
I don't know what DOF is... if it has anything to do with mechanical sounds for flippers and stuff, then I don't have it. I just have a simple setup in a cabinet.

I guess you'll have to update your script files (*.vbs), use the newest ones from the VPX 10.2 beta.
