and adjusted the FS / Cabinet settings ...

Do you mind sharing how you changed to be cab compatible?

No problem,

load the table, activate Options settings on the left then activate Backdrop field / settings.

Now set your "FS" Settings on the right backdrop settings window.

These are my Fullscreen Cabinet settings (270 degree rotated)

<inclination>18.000000</inclination>
<fov>35.000000</fov>
<layback>50.000000</layback>
<rotation>270.000000</rotation>
<xscale>1.000000</xscale>
<yscale>1.150000</yscale>
<zscale>1.000000</zscale>
 <xoffset>-89.000000</xoffset>
 <yoffset>0.000000</yoffset>
 <zoffset>-400.000000</zoffset>

i use these settings (inclination, fov, layback and zoffset -400 to get more deepness by looking at the table while i´m standing at my cab.

All VPX tables have DeskTop and Full Screen Cabinet Settings built in for changing view.

When you have any VPX table loaded into Visual Pinball Editor, Click the BackDrop tab and click the options tab. With these two tabs pressed, you should see Settings for FS and DT on right side of editor as seen in pic, simply uncheck "Test DT", and the FS settings on right side of DT settings will be used. Most tables have the FS settings already, but you can adjust to your personal taste.

With the new vers 1.5 in DT mode I get about an inch of black cabinet showing to the outside of the bright rails. IOW there is black on both sides of the upper rails. This of course covers some of the backdrop image. The other versions didn't have that. What do I have to change to get rid of the extra black?

Well Damn. :)

Here is the fix:

  • Go to Layer 5
  • Select "options" from the left side object menu
  • Select the sidewall indicated in pic by red arrow
  • Change the object values shown in the pic

This will disrupt the sidewalls for FS mode.

I will rev it maybe tomorrow.

Also the clear ramp material is wrong. Will fix that too to remove that dark smoky appearance.

Anyone else having issues with the ball getting stuck after hitting the Gift of Gab ramp, the ball coming down the wire ramp into the flipper feeder chute? The ball comes out of the wire ramp and just sits above the roll-over switch in the chute. Happens every time...

Misfit,

Please send me a screenshot with a circle drawn in where the ball is getting stuck and I will take a look. But this is the first time I have heard of this. I even played many games of DD recently and saw nothing like you described. I would suggest re-downloading the table and trying again. I have seen case where folks have mistakenly added a wall or ramp within the editor and it caused something like this.

Thanks

Just an idea, but could it be that you changed the Z value in camera / light mode?

Thanks, Mark70. That was it. I reset my POV with the settings kds70 provided and everything's cool now. I must have jacked up the Z value while de-landscaping the table for my cab. ;-) Thanks everyone. Still pretty new to all of this and still learning.

Yep that worked. Thanks.

Good to hear you have the real thing. If you can, please send me some pics of the ray gun model in the back left corner... lights on and off. I am doing a lot of work on it and the lighting. If its possible, could you get me some pics of the ray gun lights with the red plastic model off.

Start table in Camera/ Light Edit Mode by pressing F6 or drop down Table/ Camera/ Light Edit Mode.

You can adjust the playfield with the flipper- and the magna save Buttons.

Somehow the flippers not working when i load Dr.Dude. All other tables runs just fine though.

I can hear the flippers when i press Shift keys, but no movement. Really strange, it has worked

before.Could it be that i messed up something fiddling with Camera/Light edit mode? If so,how to

get default setting again for the table?

Fixed it by reinstallation of VP..
