Hi All....need some help pls!

 

So i have the teensy hooked up and the firmware loaded via teenys.exe. It flashing orange so seems to be working.

I have an RJ45 cable hooked up to it, im using the solid orange going to the data on the matirx led.

I have a 5v+ from a power unit going to the leds direct +

I have the negative from the power source connected to the orange/white.

 

I did have the power negative connected to the LED negative and Orange/white (RJ45) to teensy - all rows light up??? two rows of white, then from orange to red down.

I have a total of 8 rows.

 

The lights stay on all the time?

 

help please..

Sure did and I found the translated article. I don't know if it's the negative coming from the power source? Some say it needs to be connected to the led negative and other say no.
I'll have another try tomorrow.

I have the Orange/white wire and the 5v gnd connected to the LEDs negative side

I have the Orange wire connected to the LED data wire

So I have had no luck with the teensy and leds. I'm stumped and this looks like the easiest thing if the lot
However I have managed to get the ultimateI/O board and 16port relay sains working with pinballX so progress.

The teensy is blinking waiting for data and when I use the dof test it appears to be getting data flashing fast. Both boards show up also.
I have done the combo in dof tool, quadruple checked cabinet.xml and unlocked all files.
I'm using attack from mars table in the dof checker. And it shows lights and solenoids are there.
All on/off lights leds don't flash?
Solenoids fire.
I'm using cat6 with port1 on solid orange.

Is there a way to test leds and teensy on there own to see if they flash?

Any help welcomed.

hi. I think I posted on "the other website" about this. Its like a coming of age "rite" getting these to work. From memory I think I used a the DOF Output tester .exe.   When firing the output I think it lit up the first few LEDs of my row of 144. I then went into PinballX and when navigating through menus I saw the effect on all the LEDs.  A lot comes down to your config files. Make sure to read the .log file generated to see if there are any errors.  Right now I'm installing everything back into my cab, and should get to my addressable LEDs soon.  Will update again then

2017.06.20 19:53:00.213 TeensyStripController TeensyStripController updater thread  has connected to TeensyStripController TeensyStripController.

i see from the log the COMBO3 is not working, dont know why and it appears the teensy is working and i see the teensy led flashing when data is sending?

it even works when im in pinballX but the leds do not light up.

i have fully re-wired the leds and power - using solid orange for combo1 to led data line.
