I was waiting to reply until I had a chance to test it out.  But I had problems with my machine, and when I finally got it working, I sucked so bad I never made it to the strobe multi ball.

Regardless, the video you posted looks great.

Check this out.  I've never played this machine in the dark; but I bet it's cool.  I almost bought this machine - it was just a little out of my price range for my first machine.  So I went for a different one.

Thanks for a great mod. :)

That's a cool video!
If I made a playfield that dark to show of the multiball, people would have my head! Haha
Hopefully when you get to strobe multiball, usually 3rd stroke of luck, I hope you like the new strobe :-)

Lol this is true! I have played a real AFM and achieved strobe multiball and it is indeed a cool effect. However VP is different from reality and there are many compromises required and I think your new way works really well in giving you a cool feel while still retaining visibility. Ie: Losfy liked it! ;)

OK, I finally got a chance to play again.  This time I got to the strobe.  It looks good.

I think I'm going to adjust some settings on my playfield monitor.  It's not just about the strobe.  The strobe just highlights a problem I think I've always had - monitor too bright / not enough contrast.

  • Version 3.5
  • Teppotee reworked the lighting to make it work with VP9.2 Big thanks!!! He really helped me on this because i couldn't figure some things out, and he saved me alot of time.
  • I then changed the layback/xy settings, and had to add one more wall to the left side to hide flasher artifacts. I did a minor physics tweak.

Hey Aaron,

Could you change something to this table because since DX9 (VPinball990) there's something strange with the lights.

You can see the problem here : http://www.vpforums....=26714&p=264568

and the solution here : http://www.vpforums....=27658&p=264965

I really love this mod, so maybe you can upgrade it directly to : Attack_From_Mars_NIGHT MOD_VP990_v4_FS_3-WAY-GI [VP 9.x Cabinet FS MOD]

And this table is in Pinemhi as the current AFM table so it can't use the "vpexetables.txt" file cause in Pinemhi it skips the HyperPin/settings folder...

Thanks in advance.
