I have looked a bit into the Nudge Plugin scripts (see your scripts directory) .. Q: Does this technique still apply (our could be used) in the 10.2Beta and core.vbs?

I have re-installed my OS now due to a faield HD, so I went with a fresh WIN7 first, now a fresh WIN10, both behaves the same and

crashes when using the 'exclusive full screen' with VP10.1 and 10.2 :'(

Fully works though with the normal windowed fullscreen.

As the OS is newly installed I have not done more than installed VP fresh and set up my B2S + DOF + Plunger working.

.NET 2/3/4 installed and newset drivers to my GPU (GTX970). Must been missing something importand which leads to the crash

as it worked just fine on my old install with the same componens.

I don't have a Nvidia card but did you check the driver settings and do they match your old setup?

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Hi gStAv,

I had the same behaviour, when I did not set the right values for BOTH ddraw and direct3d for each ROM in registry when using the new VPM versions. Try to set both values to 0 (zero) for one table rom in the registry and try to start the corresponding table !

Hey guys, running the latest 10.2 revision in fullscreen mode, I got this crash error mid-game in both BOP and Scared Stiff.  Nothing in particular was happening at the time as far as I could tell, the ball was just rolling across the playfield.  The SS game lasted a good ten minutes before I got the error, BOP was much sooner.  Any ideas what would be causing it?  My video card is EVGA GeForce GTX 960.

Yah.....now with DJRob's updated PinMAME that allows (with ddraw=0) for proper dmd scaling at any resolution..... I just have ddraw=0 and direct3d=0 for ALL of my VP tables now (VPX in full screen), and it's the default as well for ALL roms. There's no reason to have ddraw=1  anymore, even for vp9 or pm5 in windowed mode.

oh.... maybe this is why it crashes in one of the tables. How do I change ddraw=0 to all the tables?

Hey guys... all the info on true fullscreen and ddraw here:  http://www.vpforums....rue +fullscreen

Let's try to reserve toxie and fuzzel's beta thread for that topic so they don't get overwhelmed.   :)

One thing that gets a little annoying. A VPX 10.0 table opens when I double click on the table itself.  and VPX 10.2 i need to open the actual program. then open the table. Otherwise i get an error load message. So I am using 10.0 to make my tables. What is the actual upgrade/difference that 10.2 actually has ?  Just curious.

You may want to up the dead zone instead of turning down the gain.  The accelerometer is likely causing your drift with a low level signal, upping the dead zone will cause vp to ignore that low level.

^^ cool that completely solved my problem (even small increase of 5 in VPX and 1 in PM5), thanks a lot! :D

Probably some micro tendency of my accelerometer to the left escalated to this artefact, if not ignored by dead zone.

BTW the analogue nudging, if setup correctly gives an almost real experience, mostly when saving balls from draining at the sidelanes works pretty good. Cool work here! :)

oh.... maybe this is why it crashes in one of the tables. How do I change ddraw=0 to all the tables?

You can't really do that - well, in a way ... you can. You could export the registry to a text file - then do a search/replace and import the registry again.

And, also, set the default sub table rom to 0. This would make new tables start with this set to 0 if you change the rom inside the table ( first time usage ) or start a new table with a new rom never played before.

This is exactly what I did. Now all my PinMAME roms are set to ddraw=0, and none of my table settings are messed up.

Yes, you can use SetDMD as well, but if you have any rotation settings, or custom size and positions for some tables, then that would also get changed.

I don't have a cabinet yet ( parts should arrive over the weekend ) - but, I've read about nudge and that some people isn't happy with the way it works. For what I have understood the main issue is that you can't really do any to the ball if it is not hitting any object ?

If that is correct. Could it be an idea to make the table surface ( invisible ) near the ball tilt with an angle relative to the nudge force ?

Probably a crazy idea. Just wanted to put it out there.

Sorry for the false alarm Toxie and Wrd. Rookie move on my part. I had forgotten to change ddraw tp 0 in regedit, which crashed the table in truefulscreen mode. Happy to report BBBB is working great now with latest DJRobX vpinmame and latest 10.2 beta.

Hate to do this in a thread, but...

@Ben Logan - please send a PM.  I tried sending you one, but the system says you cannot receive new messages.   Thank you.
