About the Scooby Doo table: it was a mod of my Wrath of Olympus. Wrath of Olympus was a prototype table made in vp9 that I made for T-800 back in 2012. Using this VP table he made a real pinball (together with the people of Riot Pinball). And since the end result was a little different from my prototype (due to physical restrictions) then I have not upgraded it to VPX, but I may do it sometime in the future.

Yeh it is a fantasic game JP with an excellent rule set, I just don't have the skills yet to do the full physical table conversion, so in my version of the VP9 table I have script notes side by side from the WOR routines converted to Scooby routines so I don't lose sight of the rule set. Then I translated all the DMD text from Spanish back to English and resampled all the audio from Spanish back into English. I have a lot of enhanced audio in the game but so it gets real crazy with Mystery Inc. shouting out things here and there but my audio is very well synchronized sith seasons 1 & 2 of Where are you in relation to all the villains and monsters on the play field. My samples call them all out by name. All the sounds are triggering correctly at the right times, including the Hurricane from one of the SD episodes. i remapped a fair amount of the sound library.  I'll keep hammering away at it.

 

If you do decide to work on it again in the future, please reach out to me, I have all the audio ready to roll and can share my version of the table with you where I did the Spanish to English translations.

 

 

I did not made the Scooby Doo table, it was masalaja who made that mod. I made the Wrath of Olympus table

Time for another WIP for you to play. Still no need to report any bugs or missing things, as it is still a very early build

 

But I have added sounds, quotes, music and some of the modes:

 

- the skillshot and superskillshot are ready

- the weapons are ready: for now shooting all the weapon targets/lanes, green lights with a W on them, will increase the playfield multiplier and start the hurry up at the cabin to enable the Super Jackpot at right loop. 

- the police hurry up is ready. Shoot the police force target 5 times to start. Then you have 30 seconds to run away from the police by shooting ramps or the police target. If you manage to escape then you will be reward with a jackpot (score 500.000 for each second left). Later this police hurry up will start after killing some teenagers and counselors but they are not ready yet.

- ramp combos and loop combos are ready. Shoot several times the ramps to score combos, 2x combos, 3x, etc. Do the same with the loops to score loop combos. Shots to the same ramp or loop also count.

 

I have only added the weapons bonus to the bonus count since the rest is not ready yet.

 

The teenagers have started to walk around the lake.  When a teenager walks under a lake lamp you will see the lamp lighting up and you'll hear your mom's voice  But still no way to kill them, that will be next

 

And that's all for now. This wip is mostly to listen to the sounds and music, and maybe try some of the things that are ready.

For someone who's played Godzilla, this thing is really spot on.  You've got the flipper geometry extremely close...actually...even better than one out of the box as you can't make the center ramp from the left upper flipper until you adjust it in the game.  Really great stuff here, JP.

I have only seen videos of Godzilla so any similarities must be a coincidence I really like Keith Elwin layouts

WOW JP ... Great music, great suspense, great placement of sounds. Right ramp shot is quite a challenge. Thanks for yet another very cool table. We are all so glad you retired so you have time to make great tables like this ... as always thanks and I know we appreciate what you create.

I thought I show you what one of my next tables

I have just started, so many things may change, but I guess you recognize the layout

 

The theme is about Jason coming back to his home, the Crystal lake, and he finds it full of teenagers, counselors, police, and even his friends Freddy and Michael come to visit too.

So, you play as Jason, and your mission is to get rid of those "#¤%& teenagers, the counselors who keep filling the lake with teenagers, and avoiding the police at the same time. I forgot, you'll need to pick up some weapons to do that

 

Just now I have only done some graphic work, so there is a long way before it will be playable So many things may change as I start implementing the rules But for now it looks like this:

Here you have a new WIP. And this may be the last WIP as the only thing missing are the Modes (the killing of the counselors)

 

I have written a small manual you may see what kind of rules, or things to do, I have added to the table.

 

I haven't debugged 100% the script, or better said, the logical part of the script, so strange things may happen if you tilt, or use several players, as I haven't tested all that yet. But you may try to start the main multiball, the Jason multiball, by locking 3 balls in the cabin. Freddy and Michael multiballs are already in the script, but they will be started after killing 3 counselors. But if you want to start them, then open the debug window and write start StartFreddyMultiball or StartMichaelMultiball. They are meant to be a kind of reward after killing 3 counselors, but later you can use them to start hunting a new counselor

 

More tips: Use the right spinner to lit the Special, and collect it also at the right spinner, as this will add a new ball to the plunger lane.  Collect weapons to increase the playfield multiplier. Or hit the center spinner to increase the bonus multiplier. And remember each time you hear your mother's voice then you know a teenager has been spotted under a lake lamp, so go and kill that teenager

 

As I said, I'm sure there are plenty of errors yet. But I'll write first the Modes for the 14 counselors, and then I'll start hunting the bugs

 

 

 

 

PS: the table has an invisible wall between the flippers, since I forgot to remove it I always use a wall there while building and testing the table But you may remove it

 

PS2: in wip38 I made some changes to one metal wall, resulting in several walls loosing their height, due to the wall belonging to the metals collection. So if you want to try the table again download the wip 39

And the Blood Spurts off the flippers is a really nice subtle touch "Jason" I mean JP

To put it clear: this table uses the layout of Godzilla, yes, but everything is done by me, or downloaded from the web (images, music, sounds), and it has nothing to do with Stern's Godzilla table. The rules are my fantasy, although they are inspired on many tables.

 

One thing is doing a recreation and another is using it for inspiration.

whose only relation to Godzilla is, they were both movies.

There are real life tables across manufacturers that share identical or nearly identical layouts.
They dont have the same controller, dont have the same rules, dont have the same graphics, but the layouts look like they snatched it out of "My big grab bag O pinball layouts"
