Hi.I have read some comments about this amazing table.
In my case it happens to me that at some point in the game the scoreboard stops and after a while it scores again, but subtracting the points instead of adding them.
I think this is related to the top 3 targets on the left that control the Playfield Multiplier value. Sometimes when hitting the 3 targets,
the light in front of them does not turn on and then the failure occurs.
I am using version 1.03. with the full VPX 10.7 package. Any suggestions?
Thanks JP for your super valuable work with the world of pinball.
Greetings!!.

I thought I had fixed that problem with the targets and the multiplier. I'll take a look at the code again :)

Hi again.
I've been playing for a long time, and I think the problem comes with multiball. Before everything works fine, but during multiball something happens and the
scoreboard goes crazy. Subtracts points instead of adding, then before reaching a negative value it adds again, stops, etc. The problem persists as long as you
don't close the table and activate it again.
No idea why it's due, maybe a timer? Great mystery.
Sorry for bad news, but in any case this a SUPER great table!

Good to know that the problem happens during multiball. I'll check the table next week when I'll be home :)

Folks, the more you play this game, the more you will appreciate it was originally developed back in the Windows 95/98/XP generation from the 1990's (not sure which version yet but remember it was included to showcase what could be done with sound and graphics) quite possibly before we even had Sound Blaster cards in our PC's (I'll double check on that). So JP you are paying tribute in your revamp of the table all the way back to the 90's and possibly to the birth of Virtual Pinball platform (Maybe Amiga had something but I sold off all my old hardware and Amiga flatlined). The more I play it the more I appreciate your contribution to this hobby. From me to you thanks for bringing it current in things we only hoped for back then, and for your longtime contribution in creating tables for all of us to enjoy, thanks. Have a good vacation !

More information about the behavior of the table:

1). I have seen that the variable "xTargetCount" sometimes got a value less than 0. From then on the score worked bad. I think the problem comes from the "PFXTimerExpired" timer, so I tried on line 2668 of the script after xTargetCount = 0, write PFXTimerExpired.Enabled = 0, and this problem seems solved. Now everything works fine, the score, the top three targets that control the PlayfieldMultiplier and also the multiball.

2).Everything works ok. but with only one player. If there are more players in the game, the problem with the multiball continues. Sometimes instead of 3 simultaneous balls there are 2 or 4 balls in the playfield, and it passes to the next player before the last ball has been lost.

I think it may be due to some timer that is still active when it shouldn't be, but I don't know what it might be.

Also the highscore detection system works ok. but when there is only one player. When several players sometimes do not detect it and other times it doubles the same highscore for two players.
Meanwhile I continue to enjoy this amazing table, but only with one player. :otvclap:

Thanks for looking into the problem. I'll take a look at the table when I come home on Friday and I'll see if I make an update :) I like to fix tables as good as I can :)

I'll take a look at the table when I come home on Friday

On no, friday wont work.
You have about enough time to drop off dirty clothes, refill suitcase and head out for Monaco

And then board the boat to Cagliari
Then After that, you land at Tunis

Then an overland Safari along to coast with a layover at Tripoli and one at Alexandria, then on to Cairo and a few other stops
Then you have to get ready to head west to Jerusalem, it will be fun, your going by Camel, there will be tents and everything and then on the boat to Cyprus.

Hahahaha, not so far away from reality :) Just ask my wife, hahaha. We have just been on a 14 days cruise, mostly Spain and Italy, then we were 3 days at home, and now I'm in Mallorca visiting some friends :) But Friday I'll be back home, but after 10 days we'll be back to Spain, this time just 3 weeks in Calpe (between Alicante and Valencia), just 3 weeks doing nothing, maybe I'll have some free time do continue some tables :) And before the end of the year still we'll have time for a trip to Paris and another to Copenhagen :) And for the next year my wife is having trouble finding enough days for all the planned trips :) But I won't forget VPX :)

I i am just warming you up for an old school 472 day world cruise
not quite sure cruise was ever the right word being that a lot of it was over land but.

LOL

Sadly though, i would need a time machine to teleport you back to about 1906 or so, because a lot of the places i would have you go, would probably result

in you getting killed now days.

Tell wife to hire me as a travel planner, i will fit all the trips in LOL
Just forget about going home for a long while ;)

Dear friends, to combat the terrible exhaustion I feel after reading about your hectic lives, I will continue to play space cadet comfortably seated in my armchair.

JP I hope your wife will take care of you so that you can continue to elevate the wonderful world of pinball to heaven.

Happy travel and return to your home!! :)
