Sorry man, don't bother for me, but I change certain things on tables such as UltraDMDs.  I change the path to be whatever it was and add "ultraDMDs\" to it just so I have less to scroll through when looking at my tables folder.  I know its compusive, but thats the way I am.  I also change other things sometimes.  I'm just saying every update I have to go into the script and change a couple of things.  (I know 1st world troubles), I just think there is a better way.

I think most tables put the DMD folder inside tables?
that's where diablo zelda amh wizard of oz etc is, so i just kept inline with that

Can not think of anything else in the script that is locational off hand, aside from music, which i wish could be organized
but playmusic does not seem to like the use of sub folders.
I tried cause i hated my messy ass music folder, but vpx did not seem to be interested in having it.

Aside from using a customDMD location, what are you having to change, aside from screen layout?

I just love it when I get the options right and I hear the awesome HM soundtrack and intro.  Gives me goose bumps, great stuff!1!

Oh THOSE options

Well, i got 2000 different pm's, that wanted 2000 different things
So i decided ok fine
I will figure out how to make it so a person can simply decide those things for themselves by simply picking a number in the config
And i defaulted the table to "Ok, this can not possibly NOT run for you" mode.

Now those options changed massively from 1.2 to 1.3

1)  because of how the table script now worked, the ROM was now driving.

2) since i figured out how to let the ROM call the shots, i was also able to give a scoreboard for desktop mode that didnt require pinmame visible, which also let me make one for an FSS backglass, So needed new options so a person could not show it if they did not want it

3) as some people simply could not get flexDMD to work, i needed to be able to let people set up the table all 3 days
No movie DMD jazz
DMD but use ultraDMD
Or DMD with FLexDMD, and flexDMD brought some other options, such as having the DMD appear in the apron inserts, incase someone has a single screen cab setup

So then a person needed to be able to pick and chose those things, and so on.

In 1.4 you will have to set options to decide if the table serves Heineken, Guinness, or Corona during ball lock.

At least 1 script, your controller.vbs is out of date

as that is where B2SOff is defined at

off hand, easiest way to update your scripts, is download the 10.7 beta

https://www.vpforums...attach_id=31491

You dont need to use the whole beta in the zip
you just want the scripts folder, as it has all updated scripts

I mean you can use the whole thing if you want, just rename the VpinballX.exe in it to VpinballX 10.7 beta.exe
before you you unzip it into your VPX folder, then it wont kill off your VPX 10.6.1

But you only need the scripts
I know we have a script repository, but i dont know the link to it, so this is the easiest way i know to get them to you

That or you could add this to the script

Const B2SOff = False 'True/False if want backglass disabled
Sub DOF(dofevent, dofstate)
If B2SOff=False Then
If dofstate = 2 Then
Controller.B2SSetData dofevent, 1:Controller.B2SSetData dofevent, 0
Else
Controller.B2SSetData dofevent, dofstate
End If
End If
End Sub

But i think it is better to have updated scripts

Hello Hirez00,

is your Backglass finished? i can't find it anywhere

Working on a a couple backglass versions for this VPX table. Authentic, Fantasy, and 16x9 - all around 2200px hi-resolution each:

Its gonna be a few days before I can finish - gotta do "work stuff" during the day.

Make your DMD really big
and set dot size to 3
It will be close.
be a bit pixely since flexDMD is making some attempt at making a display a DMD can render even with dot size 3
but you kinda get the general impression

In PUP it looks like this
fwFyghT.png

kNIvCio.png

z38J6VJ.png

zkamQaa.png

I would still have to run a DMD though for the feedback from the ROM
I dont think PUP can overlay scores, player and ball counts from the ROM etc?

Not to mention, if i did the table as a PUP, the download is probably going to wind up at near 4gb, and i wont be able to host it here most likely
due to severe copyright issues

You could use the existing DMD scenes though and tinker around making PUP events to play them
You might have to figure out some text or what not to replace some of the ultraDMD calls where it is video only

You kind of can, but it requires an intermediary timer subroutine in the Visual Pinball table to interpret the display controller signals into digits that are then fed into PinUp Player for display. I helped do the scripting of such on the Top Gun mod of JP's Taito Space Shuttle, and made a personal mod of Atari's Airborne Avenger to give me a simulation of a PinDMD window for what is usually on the apron display. It tends to work best with early solid state designs, you can kind of do it with the alphanumeric systems, but you really need to use an appropriate segment simulating font, or do context scripting based on position and previous character to tell if it's a 5 or an S.

Well, i am already doing that, at least party
i am already translating led segments into numeric values
which is how i am determining what ball is in play for which player etc

So you might be able to do a PUP version if you want, with out too much work

search the script for P1D1 and you will land in the middle of that area

Not sure if he ever got a change to work on it, but the table, in the latest versions did come with a new backglass, which is similar

Can you just utilize the scripts from the 10.7 installer zip? I have 10.6 and I am getting that same B2SOff error.

That worked. Music is very low, need to figure out how to boost that and some table sounds are very loud, so need to lower those, but really likeing the table.

Thanks for creating!

If you rename the VpinballX.exe to VpinballX 10.7 beta.exe, you can use the entire 10.7 download and it wont harm your 10.6.1 install

plus can try out the beta (just dont edit and save a table in it, save a copy if you do that)

Which table sounds are very loud?

Table has multiple kinds of sounds, some being the ROM itself (electronic beep beep type noises)
if the ROM is too loud, hit F12 and set it to like -6 then restart the table and try it out.
You could turn off the ROM audio entirely, it wont have much effect on the table really, it has enough other noises going on.

As for the music being low, put all them mp3's in audacity and normalize them to 0 decibels, then export them back out to mp3 again, they will be louder

I recently installed flexdmd and it doesn’t show up on my real dmd screen for this table. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Do any other flexDMD tables show up on your DMD screen?
Do you get a DMD window at all?

When you run flexDMDUI, do any of the demo screens in the tab at the time play to your DMD screen?

Do you have freezys DMD extensions in general set to show in your DMD screen?
(What version of freezys do you have

[pindmd1]

; if false, doesn't bother looking for a pinDMD1
enabled = false

[pindmd2]

; if false, doesn't bother looking for a pinDMD2

[pindmd3]

[pin2dmd]

[pixelcade]

; COM port, e.g. COM3

; color matrix to use, either "rgb" or "rbg"

Also, did you set the table options to use flexDMD
and did you set them to show the virtual DMD?
