I'm having trouble figuring out how to disable FloatingScores. The script just says Default: Table1.ShowDT but doesn't say what to do instead if you want to disable them. I've tried commenting out what feels like probably half the damn script and I can't get the score to stop displaying in the upper corner either. Can anyone help me out, by chance? My end goal is to disable all types of score from displaying on the playfield, and leave all of that to the backglass/dmd.

Just overwrite "Table1.ShowDT" with a 0

Thanks Wiesshund! I couldn't figure it out either and just ended up using an older version. This is great!

FloatingScores = False

So, I tried that, and I also tried = 0. It's possible I'm trying to disable two things, and not just FloatingScores. To the left of the playfield, there's an embedded, scripted DMD. It doesn't show up as an asset or group of assets when you click the Backglass button in the editor, but it definitely displays when the table is running. It displays the same DMD content as the directb2s. I want to disable the FloatingScore effects, which I think is indeed happening by changing FloatingScores = False, but I cannot find where in the code this forced playfield DMD is so I can try to kill it.

Here's what it looks like: https://streamable.com/8cehy1

Any ideas?

Two lines above (52), set it to 0.

const VPXdisplay = 0

If you want to hide the VPinMame DMD, go to line 733 and set it to 1.

Controller.Hidden = 1

i found them, 100 miles south of the table

with some pieces that resemble the remains of an FSS backbox

Hmm... I'm really not trying to be intentionally dense... but I'm not sure what this means. Thinking it might actually be positioned a long distance below the viewable table in the editor, I zoomed out and scrolled around looking for it... but that got me searching even harder, so I clicked the down-arrow next to the Select arrow tool in the editor, which pulls up the huge list of objects in the table. I saw four Display objects, which when selected, look like your typical DMD matrices (lots of densely-packed objects in a row). So I shift-moved them 20 steps to the right, well off-screen, and bingo. they all disappeared from the visible playfield. :)

Here's what I'm talking about, for those who may find this later looking for a solution:

I picked up the table from someone else, and they must have been tinkering with it i guess
they moved those parts way down below the table in the editor, and looks like they were working on an FSS backbox they didnt finish

I seem to have a different stuttering issue, that if anyone has any insight on I'd appreciate it. I've tried all of my tricks, reflections, static rendering, Vsync, B2S exe, GFX options in the script, etc.

What happens for me seems opposite of what people have described previously, i.e. first ball is good, then the stutter starts.

My stutter is pretty significant from the start, but once I have a ball locked, then everything runs as smooth as silk, including the following games. Wondering if there's some sort of preload for the rotating station that could be scripted?

Hey folks. The displays for the DB2S are jacked and not working. This is what I see:

untitled31.png

I have tried two different backglasses, same issue. I turned on the external DMD to test, and it works correctly so this means there must be some issue with the DB2S. Never seen this before. Any ideas? BTW, I am running 10.8beta 1837 so I am not sure if thats the problem

Any ideas?

Delete the nvram or hit F3 in game to reset it.

Something is definitely odd with this table / dB2S combination. It doesn't work for me either, although I don't see the garbled characters. The segments remain blank, or on occasion I see a single static digit.

This used to work in the past, and the only change I made recently is upgrading to the latest dB2S server version, so perhaps the problem is related to that.

I am not seeing any garbled characters, but like htamas, I am getting blank segments.

Indeed, this is not compatible with 10.8

Which backglass is being used here?

I tried it with hauntfreak's, Wildman's and with an old one from Piggei (I think) from this site.

I'm using Wildmans piece. Glad the issue was operator error. Lol. Seems the other sys11 backglasses in my collection are working fine. Why is this one odd?

Excuse the proportions, im trying to jam everything on one screen for screen shot.

B2S Author is Teamtechnic

B2S works just fine in 10.8 latest action
B2S Server latest action

VPinMAME latest action

Must be some minor difference or corruption in the backglasses you are trying to use.

I know i have had older B2S creator do that to me before.

AhP3u46.png

Not a table issue though, so we should probably stop clogging the author's notices since nothing he can do
