How about a maximum source image size slide bar for performance enhancement? :)

mmmm..just had a go at adjusting the maximum texture size here it makes no difference in FPS on those tables with 4K or plus images loaded into the image manager, just adds blur.

I had in mind that VP could perhaps resize all images above a certain size, before utilising them.

@StevOz: Thats exactly what the texture setting already does. So i fear that something else slows the tables in question down.

If you press F11 you'll get some stats. If you post a screenshot of that with a slow table here, i could say more.

I would like to be added the possibility of rotate in x, y and z :Decals, flashers and Lights. If it is possible it would be great :P

Flashers can do rotation. They're harder to work with though. I've gotten good results with the multiply blend mode.

Would it be possible to add fade up / fade down and blink patterns to flashers?

This is an area in which Zaccaria ME for Steam and iOS really excels, in my opinion. Adds a lot of vibe. They may overdo the effect just a bit, but it's really worth checking out.

Pinwiz has a video that showcases the effect nicely:

Errr, I press F11 here and that's what it shows I am running W10 fully updated and with the latest drivers available for my slightly factory overclocked nvidia GTX660/2GB ram, a intel haswell core i3 @ 3.4Ghz...

I have as a matter of course made some adjustments and turned off a lot of useless MS spyware /adware options...

I run a cracked hacked win7 with 100% zero security (its never connected to the internet)

it also has never had anything but pin progs on it... never been used for anything but a pin simulator (I dont know if that matters)

if i activate vert sync it stays pinned at 60fps on all table even a test table with a PF height of 6000 pixels

looking at your specs, I believe there close to Randr's rig and I know for a fact he can run everything under the sun with no issues at all....

the thing is that you both have vsync enabled. that in itself is good, but has the implication that as soon as you're close to 60fps with your hardware you will experience a lot of stutter as one will drop to 30fps a lot.

@StevOz: just set vsync to 0 for the tables that are problematic.

Thanks toxie that seems to work for the problematic tables, though the non problematic tables run far smoother with vsync enabled, as far as I can tell this is a global setting or can it be set on a per table basis?

Steve... this is the same way I run my tables, if it seems like the table could use some help i adjust the table itself and check the overwrite global

AOK RF, nice I can even play your tables now, thanks, cheers for that. :)

Sorry to go a little off topic, still really, Update in game AO seems to make the real big difference, so what is that all about?

* edit Ah OK Ambient Occlusion....really some minor shadow effects hits performance that hard, nice I suppose, though without that everything here runs in sync on my 2 year old PC no problems.

So anyone having any issues with VPX just make sure that is turned off!

AO has never had enough aesthetic impact in my rig so I just keep it off....
