Open core.vbs in notepad and search for cvpmTrough.  If you find that then, that is the correct vbs file. If you don't find it, then you need to update to the latest version of scripts

Now as a test rename core.vbs to something else temporarily like corenot.vbs.   Try to start the table and you should now get a cannot find core.vbs error.  If you still get the same trough undefined error then you have just confirmed that you have another version of core.vbs in one of your VP folders

Huh .. Flipper lag in the bk Table ? This Table is a Prime example of responsive flips .. maybe if you havent already .. try the exclusive fullscreen Mode. Many guys Report much better Response Times ... And ... While in the Table Press f11 and Press your left flip and check the ms displayed ...

And use the 10.2 beta. By the way: what is your hardware? A decent GPU should give decent fps.

Hi, just recently had the time to play around with this gem.
I also have some sort of extreme flipper lag. Like the flipper does not move at all or 2-3 seconds later.
When I play flupper1s Diner release everything is fine. No lag at all...
Using latest 10.2 and vpinmame 2.8

Must be something table specific, maybe in the script that I can adjust?

Don't know what this can be in the table, seems to be working for most prople. Things to try:
- disable b2s and/or use different b2s
- enable vsync in video properties of vpx, I use 1 for both vsync and the option below it (frames..., forgot what it is called)
- delete nvram (does not seem logical, but you could try)
- use a different vpx version
- use exclusive fullscreen
If anything, BK2K has higher fps than Diner, so I suspect something to do with the rom/vpinmame/b2S. The flippers in BK2K are controlled through pinmame, so there is something not right in that area. Diner flippers are directly flipped through script.

Out of interest... open the table in the editor and re-save a copy of it.  Does the copy play ok?  (I had an issue with a table once, but once I re-saved it it was OK.  No idea why)

If you love it that much - you should consider having a look at PinSound and replace the in-game music.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

PinSound does not support System 11B tables. No BK2K.

I installed VPX for the first time with the installer. I had no problem running Attack From Mars with it's table and rom file but this one I'm getting the error "Machine 'bk2k_l4' (Black Knight 2000 (L-4)) terminated before intialized, check the rom path or rom file." whenever it tries to load the rom file. I have "bk2k_l4.zip" in folder "\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\roms\"

What's going wrong? Is the rom file here corrupt or something?

I advice you to get your roms from the other site. Have you set forced full screen without setting ddraw to 0 ? That might give that error too.

Test your rom - open setup.exe inside vpiname folder. The app can test the roms and tell you if there is anything wrong with them.

What "other site"? Also the rom tested as good from the setup.exe program so it appears the rom itself works. I just went into registry to and set ddraw to 0 in \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMame\bk2k_l4\.  (Wow, what a wonky as hell setting to have to mess with) and it gave the same error but turning off the default full screen exclusive option allowed the rom to run but there's no score display. :/

Edit: Looks like I had to run visual pinball as an administrator at least once to fix the issue of it not taking the ddraw settings. Still haven't gotten the score to display with the default settings though. I'll see if I can't figure out what the issue is later.

This site is administered by a guy that is not very friendly towards the site in question. If I write its name - it will automatically be deleted. U n i v e r s e - probably works.

Alt+tab ? Sure it is not behind other windows ?

Thanks for the help. And sure enough there it was behind the window. I guess I've been spoiled because the other tables automatically placed the score to the side of the table. (I'm only using one display right now. I was trying to make sure everything worked before trying it with the VR mod.) Is that the new integrated display mode it mentioned during install? Is there a way I could go about getting it to appear over the visual pinball window?

I have seen links to VPUniverse on this site.

I don't think he has any problem with that.

I think his dislike has to do more with the Pin2DMD program on that site.

Thanks Noah

About your question. Sorry. I haven't tried the VR mod yet. Maybe you should get more acquainted with the software before jumping on that one ?

Oh no I haven't fired up the VR mod yet. It's my plan to use the VR mod soon but I wanted to get everything working without it before I try it. Everything's working normally right now after running it once as admin and turning off ddraw via registry so the only niggle I have is the DMD for this table. So, again, is there a way to get the DMD to display over the table so I can see it even if I'm only using one screen? The other table's I've used seem to do this by default.

Actually. There is. https://github.com/f.../dmd-extensions

Gives a better looking dmd too. Read and adjust the *.ini file. If you set it to not read from registry and put in fixed values for x and y and force on top.

I don't know, you still haven't told us if you are using just one monitor. If you are, well, there are several ways. If you are a desktop player. You could also consider running the program in windowed mode but not use the whole screen. Then you can have pr. example backglasses on a fixed place to the left or right of the table.

That's how I roll on my old "editing" computer.
