Good news is that nvidia is right now trying to reproduce the issue on an optimus laptop. They already downloaded VP914, too bad the AIO installer is not ready yet. Anyway let's hope they will find out what's wrong.
I'm going to get involved into this, too, to help out with additional info.. thanx for the initiative!
EDIT: ok, i'm in the loop now.. hopefully something pops out of this that helps optimus based setups..

Just tell them all they wanna know, i guess.. ![]()
The rest i can hopefully take care of..
I guess the most important thing they found out already is that the slowdown happens for the built-in display, but not when something is connected via HDMI (like a TV)..
That should hopefully already give some necessary hints to them (i.e. maybe a very simple driver issue)..

Btw, didn't you mention in another post that you had it working with an MSI modified driver ?

Here an interesting update.... XIO if you have a chance to try this driver if it works for your card. Would be interesting.
I am mad because this is the first driver that played FP perfect and VP rendered awesome, yet it seems to be stuttery..not like jumpy like before more jaggity movements closer together..... This is the closest i've gotten.
It switches the optimus as well, even without a profile set-up for vp or fp it switches. I just set the card to use the Nvida for all apps and it is working...
Arghhh. If we had someone from Nvidia who could show the difference with this driver, it would for sure point to the issue i think.

here is a render. Looks awesome but has stutter....hmmmm.

Hah. Reading this thread is almost cathartic in a weird way - I suppose seeing I'm not the only poor soul plagued by this nightmare is somewhat welcome in confirming I haven't gone crazy (at least not because of this).
Is there somebody who can recap what we know so far? I'm seeing that NVIDIA has actually been made aware of the problem, there's some drivers posted all over the place, and I'm not sure what exactly our combined knowledge stands at in regards to this dilemma. I'll give the last drivers Maceman posted a shot, just because what the flipping heck else can I do at this point?
EDIT: Well, that was a dead end. The installer wouldn't even let me install, citing not being able to find compatible hardware.

Hey McD,
To try that driver (or any driver)... If you look in the Display.Driver directory of the downloaded extracted driver, there is an .inf file which has the info of the cards...you can scroll through or use 'find' to look for your card. It must not be listed, which would give that error.
That is why we try to find a modified .ing, one which inserts your card...and then it is poke and hope.
There are instructions on how to modify the inf all over the net. Sometimes if you google search like this " GT540M(replace with your card) and Nvidia driver 275.27" it will lead to you a modified .inf ![]()
Cheers,
Maceman

The kicker is, it's listed. Actually, scratch that, the true kicker is that I'm running an ASUS K53SV, which has the exact same card you have - the GT540M, which is listed a staggering amount of times in the various INFs.

Here's Nvidia update from today :
our lab was able to replicate the issue and has escalated the bug to our development to investigate.
Hopefully they can determine the cause and add Optimus profile to work with this game. I'll let you know once a driver with a fix is available.
Let's all cross our fingers ! ![]()

Anything further on this? I have this exact same problem and it's so frustrating. I can play all tables fine with my integrated Intel HD4000 in my laptop, but it has graphical glitches. Then when I try to use my GTX 675m in my laptop to play demanding games (Bad Cats is the table I keep testing with) my frame rate is impossibly slow, like 5-10 fps! I've tried so many different settings, drivers, etc. and nothing works. VP simply does not work well with high end notebook GPUs right now.
