Rawd,

I wanna to congrat you again! dblthumb.gif clapping.gif Fantastic table! This physics should be standard for all other VPforum tables. It was that came closest to the real one. The best!

Congratulations!!!
I look forward to your next (surely GREAT) job

Worship.gif

Edit: The physics before version 1.42 were bether in my opinion. Why did you change? It was perfect. Now I'm thinking the ball a litlle fast.

I didn't change anything, other than the nudging and a little physics tweak on the kicker smile.gif Must be in your mind.

I think Rawd should lay down the law when it comes to kickers. After playing TS it gets somewhat annoying when I go to other tables and the ball makes it into the kicker everytime no matter how fast or slow

The kicker on the real table is beveled around the edges, and quite shallow. I am not sure how the kicker differs on other real tables, as I haven't played very many real tables in years.

Outstanding recreation Rawd. This is a virtual table that really approaches the feel of a real table. One small problem I had was that the four red double wide targets were all appearing as a transparent grid. I am not sure if this is due to my ATI video card or not, but I managed to fix the issue by selecting each target individually and selecting "Draw in Front". Great work.

Sweet Deal Pinbotic,

I was getting the same issue and simply started setting my video mode to 16-bit and that fixed it too but i'll try this.

Might be an ATI thing.

Yes, Rawd! I'm going crazy crazy.gif smile.gif You're right!!

Rawd, I like toooo much your physics and flippers configuration. For me they are P-E-R-F-E-C-T!!! Really GREAT Job yours!!!! clapping.gif

I intend to put this physics at other tables that I like and I think there are bad physics. And I have one question:
What do I need to do is just carry the values from the editor like... inc / fov, gravity const. etc, etc or do I need to add something in the scripts?

Sorry my bad english
Thank you very much!!!

I am really happy that you like the physics. It took alot of work to get everything close to the real machine. I am certain that you can't just transfer the properties to other tables though because they are all different. I spent a long time testing the real machine by dropping the ball in different places to see where and how hard it will bounce, so there are a lot of different elasticity properties on the rubbers and such. The flippers are setup for an EM as well, so I am not sure how well those settings would transfer to another table. Each table must be setup for it's own physics.

It seems that VP 9.09 has messed up something with the kicker hole (it won't hit it anymore). I took a quick look at it and was not able to fix it (dropped the kicker from my wall at 15 height to none, and tried deleting the code for jumping the hole, also tried changing the size and strength of the magnet). If anyone has any ideas, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

> I think Rawd should lay down the law when it comes to kickers

Are you saying it's somehow "wrong" in Triple Strike? No way: it's damn authentic to the real table! smile.gif

Also, what do the ROMs do for this table? I've been playing it without the ROMs and haven't noticed any difference?

Great table, BTW. Excellent job, Rawd! I'm 40 and it plays just like the one I had at home when I was 10. smile.gif My Dad loves it too. He actually sold our real one a few years ago. I asked him why, and he said it was taking up too much room. After playing this one in VP, he told me he wishes he never sold it now. How's that for a testimonial for ya! smile.gif

Thanks man! Really glad that you and your dad are enjoying it! There are no roms for this table. There is a 'Triple Strike' bowler machine that requires roms. Those are probably the roms you have. Enjoy!

and I meant his kicker hole is the best I've ever seen in any vp table.

Just downloaded the table and by the comments.... I'm really looking forward to playing it.....I been thinking long and hard about jumping back into the saddle to create some more originals.. but I don't know.. seems things have advanced pretty much since I last made a table.

I downloaded Future Pinball too and tried Triple Strike on that... no contest! The physics ARE wrong in FP. It just doesn't feel authentic at all. And I know: I played the real Triple Strike for 20 years! Rawd has it down pat. smile.gif

But, one thing I did notice, is that FP's Triple Strike is a lot brighter. When I played VP's version, it does seem too dark now. Maybe it can lightened up just a bit, maybe by 20% or something?

I agree that the physics are lacking in the FP version (The reason I made the VP version). Greywolf did an amazing job, and I used all of his textures for my table.

I personally prefer darker tables. In fact, I wanted to make this table a little bit darker. I am going to do an update for this table for Widescreen version, and I am waiting to see if 9.10 fixes the kicker from 9.09 (Toxie said it has). I may consider redoing the entire lighting of the table.. as I would like some light to flood onto the table when the drop-targets are hit. At that time, I will most likely consider releasing a 'day' version.

Wow! it looks like many of us will be using that excellent magnet/kicker combo as it holds true to the original. just as much fun as shaking the real table to try to get the ball to sit in that dang hole! brings back so many memories of doing just that, swearing when the ball just misses it rolling down the table, instead! I just love the magnet and always had wondered just how you would have gone about recreating that effect. thanks for this! and a very very nice table indeed. with all that kind of help, though you just know from now on you must at least match this type of excellence in all your future pins. No pressure though... biggrin.gif whistle.gif
