Used to about 15 or 16 years ago (has it really been that long?). I used to have it in my apartment bedroom before I was married when I shared an apartment. All I have now is my defender and repurposed stero cabinet dubbed the "Kenwood Pinball". My das was and still is in the buisness so I've had many over the years, Silverball, Meteor, Pat Hand, Big Hit, Startrip, Take 5, Real and a few others I can't remember over the years. I would buy one from my dad's suppliers, refurbish it myself use it for a while and eventually sell it.
I get my sound from my Ipod player on top, crude but it works. Added joysticks also since that pic see N. No mouse that's what the joystick is for.

Really nice looking table JP! smile.gif

But i have the same problem as SilverSurfer to = no tablesounds except for the physic sounds!
No matter what F6 settings used chimes or noise = no sounds!!!!
The no sound problem is also with the new Star Trek table it seems!
Othervise never any problem with VP tables using 2 different systems VP installations.

Johanpsu-

Check to make sure on the following two items:

1. You have downloaded the samples file from this site and placed the file, still zipped, in your samples folder. Here is a link to the file if you do not have it:

http://vpforums.org/...d...ail&f_id=33

2. Have the Use Samples checkbox checked. To verify that after the table loads, press F1.

Thanks a lot for the advice TA2686!! But the samplefile you linked to is all there in my samples directory
and the use samples is checked to! Still no sounds!

One other thing to check:

Run the VisualPinMAME Setup.exe (located in your pinball folder) and verify the path for the samples folder. For example, in my installation the path for the samples folder is C:\Program Files\Pinball\Samples. Yours may be different depending on how you installed VP/VPM.

Other than that I don't know what to tell you other than make sure the samples file remains zipped in your samples folder (which I believe you said it was).

I can't get any sound from the rom. I've tried changing the F6 option, and restarted, even deleted the nvram.

Is there some way to vary the volume, that I've missed?

Thanks.

EDIT: Bloody hell! I've gone completely blind! Excuse me please.

Wow! think.gif I had no idea a VP table could make a person go blind... I better stop playing VP I guess...

Ok, I missed that table.

I'm currently working on my own version. The surprise was great when I heard that a fabulous version is already available. I had no idea. since the table was designed by JP himself.
Hats off, this table looks and plays great and the physics are as close as possible on the real thing.

Thanks and Servus
