Lost World VP9 1.0

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the table by Bally from 1977
Thanks to RipleYYY for suggesting the table, test it and for letting me use part of his script (the light numbers).

The table is fast, if you feel it is too fast then you can always reduce the min and max table slopes.

It is angle independent so you may change the view angle too if you prefer.

The table is a real beauty. The VP job on this table is second to none. The kickercups work like a dream. The ball roll and hit sounds and ball collision sound makes this a real pleasure to play. It works like a charm on my old pc. I give it 6 stars. It's absolutely amazing what you have accomplished with VP. I can't thank you enough.... You are a real pinball legend. otvclap.gif

What a table this would be for a tournament!

As always, there is more you could add for realism . smile.gif Sometimes a player doesn't pull the plunger all the back, this causes the ball to return down the shoot and hit the plunger tip. This is quite common in pinball, but in this super VP table, there is no ball roll sound on the way back down and the ball doesn't make a sound when it hits the plunger. I clumsily experimented with this and included it in my Amazing Spider-man VPM table, but I'm sure if you did it, it would sound more real and add to the table's realism. smile.gif

I couldn't agree with Bob more, this table would be great in a tournament. I was thinking the same thing after I just got done playing a great round on it (FS version). It plays so well, and seems so real to me.

Screenshot looks gorgeous. Haven't even downloaded it yet and I'm already impressed. May I ask where you found the sharp playfield and plastics graphics?

Thanks for all your comments! smile.gif
I take note of your suggestions, Bob, I never thought about those sounds smile.gif

Where did I get those sharp playfield and plastics. It was a lot of photoshop work to get them like this. The plastics came from a small picture from Marco's web site, the playfield came from the picture in this forum. But I had to do a lot of work to get that small picture of the plastics to look good, and the playfield also needed a lot of work to get it sharp.

Not to forget to mention the flipper behaviour. I found several unbelivably realistic situations so I thought I was in local arcade! Thanks one more time JP!
