Played a couple games of this great table recreation and had a few notes that I thought I'd mention, but first of all, say thanks for this and all the other great tables from all the builder and authors.
Because SMB is the only real pin table I own,I had something to reference:
1. When hitting the ball with the upper playfield flipper to the green plastic trough on the right hand side, it is very fast compared to in real life. probably twice as fast or more coming down the trough. Doesn't affect gameplay so much, but an observation.
2. if you are going for multiball (by hitting the switches that are labeled 1-4 on the playfield, the switch associated with the number "3" (I need to look up the manual for the actual switch #)) it often does not register. Probably the switch just needs to be moved slightly over, but I haven't tried it myself yet.
3. The shield that pops up in between the flippers when super or invincible, trips as soon as a ball touches it on the real table but in the vp version stays up until you defeat the castle or if the ball is drained in either outlane, or the kicker is triggered on the left outlane.
4. When I had multiball, and I was super (or invinsible via the star, I can't recall) and I had the shield pop up, I had one of the flippers in the up position which allowed a ball to drain down the center. after that happened, I still had balls in play but they were in one of the holes at the time the other ball drained. The shield stayed up, and the ball(s) still in play never popped out. The music continued to play but no balls were detected and no ball search initiated. I think when I tried pressing a flipper button or a nudge, I got an error message. Wish I could recall what the message was, but I think it was a null message of some sort. and then the game exited.
Anywho, just thought I'd write them down before I forgot even more of the details. I'm not asking that anything be updated...just thought I'd write about it. Still a great table to play. Thanks again!
