Have this for my PS3 ( Pinball Hall Of Fame The Williams Collection ) and might give this a go for VP, doubt it will run as great though. Our older PC just doesn't cut sometimes and I know when I played it on PS3 I ran the score up so high I thought I was going to blow up the whole works. The Sorcerer would be saying things like "well done, sorcerer ( for the targets out front ), and you are the master". Does this version slow up a bit when your in multi ball mode and the speech is going crazy ?

BTW Nice looking table, one of my favs from the 80's ! dblthumb.gif

Here the eyes from The House by the Cemetery. I'm thinking about making a pinball table.

Hey guys i found a small graphic glitch today. It seems to only happen when the flashers go off after locking the 2nd ball and multiball is about to begin. The 2nd or 3rd target on the Sorcerer target bank gets cut in half when the flashers go off. It doesn't seem to happen at other times the lights go off like hitting that timed 3 target bank with the upper right flipper.

Absolutely one of my favorite tables, thank you for all of the hard work you guys do. This table plays so great and even though I have played it a lot. It is still a challenge every time. It is very fun and your attention to trying to get physics nice and detail is wonderful. For this Sorcerer has been...

And I have a plunger added in the update.

wink.gif

I have a lot of updates coming. Just have to get with all the authors for permission and all that.

I'll look into the graphic glitch, too, though I recall doing so, and didn't see it.

I also need to see if I am still getting that graphic glitch when the lights come on now that I have fixed my nvidia setting back to 16x.

Thanks for the update. This table is one of the best imo, and your version looks and plays great.

UR/NF,

This is the first I've seen of your Sorcerer table ... but here's yet another classic Williams table that just totally ROCKS! "FEEL my POWER!" spiteful.gif Man, I swear the flashing of the table strobes so fast, like when completing Sorcerer, it feels like it might cause a seizure in my brain, especially in low lighting. biggrin.gif

You know, I'm just going to have to break down and get me a better laptop if I keep playing your VP9 tables. My current laptop (Dell Vostro 1000, 1 GB RAM, WinXP SP3, AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 1.9 GHz, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 258 MB) plays VP9 ok .. but it pixelates the alpha ramps ... and to me that's just a professional disservice to the quality of your superior tables! So I'll just have to work on that ...

There's one thing about the original arcade table that I never liked: those drop targets in the upper right corner reset WAY too fast for my taste. It's the way this particular Williams table was designed: too closed in of an area with too wide a gap for the ball to leave the area, yet too hard to get the ball back into the area before the targets reset.

But here we are in VP ... is the timing of the targets controlled by the script or by the ROMs? If it's the script, what exactly would I have to change to give me just 1 more second, maybe 2, to complete the target drop before they reset? It would be cool to hit that once in a while.

I see that you guys have other tables in your repertoire: looking forward to playing Getaway (High Speed 2), Silverball Mania, Terminator 3 and Whirlwind. Man! ... with you guys it's just like discovering a new band back in the day ... one smash hit album after another! tup.gif

You know, I'm supposed to be learning how to BUILD a table ... but I keep finding all these new tables to play, even tables that I never did get to play in the Arcade ... there's just not enough time to go around! biggrin.gif

Hope y'all are having a GREAT weekend! drinks.gif

Glad you're enjoying the tables! The drop target reset time is unfortunately controlled by the table rom. I'm not sure if there is a way you could script in anything to override it or not though. Perhaps destruk or any of the other scripting gurus might know a way, or maybe it is one of the dip settings, but I would doubt it. You'll just have to keep that ball up there!
