i was going back trying to find them im running this on 2 seperate computers its confusing me a bit haha.

ty for fixing them its a sweet touch, my son actually came over for a visit i showed it off and he loved the wheels

His words were "thats awesome dad"

sorry to say RetroPinJuke-1.0.104 no spinning wheels.

Ok really strange thing here I have a copy 1.0.99 that has working crt and working wheels on cassette.

So what I think happened on the other computer, is that  it kept some data from the previous installs before 1.0.99.

On this computer i did an uninstall reinstall at some point which i think removed whatever was in there to make the wheels work. CRT is all ok.

I cant find an old download of 1.0.64 to try to start with that then install the later release to see if its a thing.

the earliest version i saved was 1.0.81 with no working reels.

There is a configuration option Setup → Appearance → Reduce motion can you check this option please? Sounds like it might explain some of the problems you're seeing.

Currently it:

  • Stops the cassette reels.
  • Stops automatic scrolling on the DMD, queue ticker and Hi-Fi text.
  • Removes animated highlights and fades.
  • Slows visualizer updates to about 12 frames per second and simplifies some effects. VU meters still respond to audio.

I've tested 104 on my desktop and cabinet (with playfield and backglass)  and the reels work, the video works, DMD scrolls, so if its not working for you that is a puzzle. Not even sure how I could debug that.

I tried every config in the menu it must be this computer. IDK. I have been only testing on this computer before I install on my jukecab.

Everything works except the reels and dmd scroll, its odd any version i install same result.

My jukecab is at 1.0.99 with working reels and crt. Its stable so im gonna leave it for my needs its great.

Thanks for all youve done, Great work.

Is there any chance its not updating to the latest version? Version number is in Setup -> Diagnostics

You could also try the portable version if you aren't already.

Ok so did uninstall with your uninstaller. Went ok but it does not remove the user/appdata.

I deleted that folder and downloaded the latest portable. Tried again and no moving reels or scrolling dmd.

I have know idea why but the only difference on my other computer is that i never unistalled I have been just installing overtop. Working reels and crt at 1.0.99

Maybe its something in the older user/appdata, I have know idea about any coding stuff lol so sorry i cant help much.

Hello to anyone out there can someone Download the portable and let us know if the reels work for you?

Im going to update my 1.0.99 working reels and crt with 1.0.104, just install no uninstall and see if the reels stay turning.

Ok all went no problem updated to latest with working reels and scrolling dmd. So its definately something with this computer im typing this on, mirrored all settings between the 2 computers with no success.

Anyways updating great on my important computer.

Is it possible for a clear queue button somewhere , i make mistakes sometimes adding to queue and cant revert.

There is a windows setting that can also create the issue you are seeing

  • Windows 11: Settings → Accessibility → Visual effects → Animation effects ON.

  • Windows 10: Settings → Ease of Access → Display → Show animations in Windows ON. Microsoft’s instructions

  • RetroPinJuke: Setup → Appearance → Reduce motion unchecked, then save and relaunch.

  • Test a long DMD title with the mouse pointer away from the text—hovering also pauses scrolling.

Fingers crossed!

You got it, damn i forget i went in and set this windows 10 pc up with all the basic basic settings.

Im sure that turned off the show animation in windows, once set to on all is working 100%.

It would have taken me years to figure that one out omg. LOL

It was over a year ago i turned a bunch of those settings off for perfomance.

All works great both computers well done.
