Very simple and harmless

Download beta
Unzip to a temp folder

rename VpinballX.exe to like VpinballX 10.7 beta.exe

Now grab all contents of the temp folder and copy them into your existing VPX folder

Now you have 10.6.1 and 10.7, and you also get all the updated scripts in the process (so just let it overwrite what ever it asks)

True, but, there is one thing though. Under Preferences for keys/dof - you might want to turn off the new plunger feature. Don't remember what it is called. A very few tables might have issues with that being enabled which is default. Typical issue is that a plunger is used as kickback on outlane. IMO, that option should be set to disabled by default.

Yea, it can be slightly annoying some times
Though it can be useful too.
Depends on what you are playing on, and the table design (some people got mega fast plunger pulls in the physics)
myself, i opt to edit the plunger and slow it down, and turn off the cyclic plunger feature (auto retract)

Oh! I didn't know about renaming the Vpinball exe file to have both versions. Well in that case I'll give it a try. I'll also try the plunger option, right now it doesn't make sense to me since it's a new feature.

the new plunger option is good for

not having an analog plunger, and you have a hard time making skill shots
cause you can hold the plunger key down and watch it cycle and time your release
Also probably good for people who are not terribly good with the plunger anyways

So many tables out there, and I'm always refreshed coming back to a JP SS table.  Just grabbed the new 10.7 Git and the updated table.  Finished a battle...beat a monster and slammed it up the middle....ball went wild and ended up top left.  I played another game and couldn't recreate, but its something to note. 

 

I'm going to get back at it while the coffee's hot.  

 

Also...I'll be the one to ask...do you personally know the voice-over guy for AC/DC? Ha!

I have used a little experiment in this table

You may remove or comment the line 768:

 

Sub aTargets_Hit(idx):ActiveBall.VelZ = BallVel(Activeball) * (RND/2):End Sub

 

That was supposed to make the ball jump when hitting a target, but sometimes it goes a little too much up

 

Note: That line is for Serious Sam, the first one, since your screenshot is from that table, even if this thread is about Serious Sam II And the line number i SS II is 650

UPDATE

 

4.0.0 Updated 14.08.2022

- Updated to my VPX7 physics

- New DMD letters

- cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table

- Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darker the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.

- Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.

I don't think so, just try the table Anyway, I stil prefer the older sounds, which were more clear and sharp , but I only changed a few of them.

do you have flexDMD installed and registered?

The problem is that it seems that I have not added an image for the letter !

So go to the line 399 and remove the ! from the word CAREFUL! so it will be like this:

 

 DMD "_", CL("CAREFUL"), "_", eNone, eBlinkFast, eNone, 500, True, "" 

 

I'll fix that when I come back home next Saturday
