Your sure that is not because you have a old version of sega.vbs in your tables folder or something like that ? Other tabls that use sega is pr. example LOTR and Riplyes.

Sounds a bit weird I must admit.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

To be sure I've downloaded the 3.56 package (again)....but without success...

I will test LOTR and Ripley tonight

Make very sure that there are no stray *.vbs files in your tables folder !

mmmm....how can I explain this...because I'm not standing at my cab, but sitting at my other pc with Teamviewer to configure the cab, I was using the keys from my keyboard to add credit, start game and plunge the ball.

so suddenly some tables...this one, Grand Prix, Ripleys (LOTR was working btw) didn't react anymore on my keyboard "start game" button (the Z button)

and yesterday I told you it was working with CTRL+Z

But today I thought let's see if the Start Game button on the cab is still working...and it is...so 1 problem less (ok this one uses Joy 6 instead of keyboard)

Still, very strange that a few tables only work with CTRL+Z instead of Z like all other 935 VP tables in my cab

So something has changed, but for me it isn't a problem anymore as I have a workaround for working remote, thnx anyway for helping!

Hi Predator,

I would think the reason is within the keyboard commands sent through to the remote session. I sometimes have a "keyboard hang" in remote applications.

Try to press all the shift keys: capslock (2x), left shift, left Ctrl, left Alt, right Alt, right Ctrl, right shift. Maybe this can help.

Within the table script there is no code handling something in a suspicious way, as I refer to the system variable "StartGameKey".

I'm having a really strange issue starting the game in my cabinet - This one has really got me stumped.

I can't start the game by pressing my start button on the cabinet, but if I press the 1 key on the keyboard starts the game no problems.  Adding credits, flippers, plunger and nudge buttons all work by pressing the buttons on the cabinet.

The start button is wired to an Ultimarc IPAC2 keyboard encoder, and this is mapped to the 1 key.  I double checked this by opening up notepad.exe, pressing the start button on my cabinet types the 1 character in the text file.

All the other games work fine, this is the first time I have ever seen this.

Things I have tried so far...

1.  Re-downloaded a fresh copy of this table.

2.  Deleted the nvram.

3.  Double checked to see the 1 key is working from IPAC2 encoder.

Apart from this small issue, the game is great.  Thank you mfuegemann for all your hard work.  This game needs to be included in my cabinet, so I'm trying everything to get this working.

Thanks.

Gents, this issue is now resolved.  I updated the firmware on the IPAC2 encoder and the game now starts with the cabinet start button.  Still doesn't explain why it was only happening to this game, but happy it is resolved.

Cheers.
