The physics on this table may very well be the best VPX physics I have played to date. Very well done, this should be a template on how physics should feel.

i also love it!!

just one Thing, last night i had a multiball and kept two balls sitting on the left flipper when they suddenly merged into one.

quite strange behaviour :-) played with 10.1 beta.

best regards.

...

So is this some kind of latency issue in VP 10.1? This level of frustration is not good for my health, and is making me want to stop playing VP for good, for my own safety.

Really?....Wow, you really should consider the side of the developers, table / resource authors, and the other types of contributors, before you speak of high levels of frustration and potentially quitting or stopping work for one's own health / sanity.  You make it sound like it's almost some gift to the community that you download and play the tables - reverse thinking needed here.

That's a very "open source" answer. Your non-help in this matter does wonders to bolster the reputation of a generous and enthusiastic VP forum populace. This implementation of Tommy, representing many hours of your hard work, has now gone straight to the recycle bin. I look forward to trying out someone elses who actually cares what people think.

You clearly have a sense of entitlement that goes well beyond that of anyone on here who actually may arguably have some case.  ninuzzu and every other contributor give their time for free, so that people have access to these tables (for free), and you make it sound like he has still done you some kind of disservice!  Brutal.  You mention "many hours of your hard work" in your response to him, but you clearly aren't absorbing / contemplating what that really means in this free community and how that should govern your response and remiss gratitude and respect.

Really RogerRoger with only 29 posts you seem to know everything already although all you have contributed here is opinions!! Sometimes it's best to keep opinions to your self when you have nothing to offer except complaints..

ninuzzu is a great contributor to the comunity and gave you the answer PLAY THE TABLE IN 10.0 it's that simple tuff guy!!!

I just can't stand seeing posts like this here! ninuzzu spent countless hours on this build and to be slapped in the face like that is uncalled for.. People should really think before they type this crap or there will be no tables to play anymore!!!

Fine. Thank you for your hard work. If 99% of the public enjoys it, then that's something to be proud of. I am entitled nothing. File is deleted and I'll wait for the next one.

That's quite simply your loss.  This table is an excellent table and I wouldn't hold your breath for "the next one" - ninuzzu is a top author and amazing too considering how short of a time he's been around for (I hope interactions like this one from you don't affect the amount of time he stays around for either).  From your own, fairly brief / non-helpful problem report, it seems you simply could choose the option to play this table without the exclusive fullscreen mode, that you (and seemingly only you) report as the cause for this plethora of random physics issues.

There can be and are potentially other things to look for in that it seems you're new to the 10.1 beta and whatever you're experiencing is probably ultimately not going to be specific to any one table on your system, but I doubt you will get much help general troubleshooting if these are the ways you go about it.

It sounds like it may be a 10 beta issue anyway... I have seen a few posts now saying that a table ran better on 10 than 10 beta... so probably not an issue with the table.

I think I also read that exclusive fullscreen is very much in it's "experimental" stages. With this in mind, any reasonable person would expect that some issues may arise.

Well I was under the impression that a forum is the place to present your thoughts, opinions, observations, etc. If there truly was something wrong, wouldn't you be curious to find out what it was? Wouldn't you want to confirm for yourself this was a non-issue in future releases, since VP continues to be developed and changed?

But whatever. If it's not my place to criticize, not even out of concern for something I admired enough to wonder if something was actually wrong, and if the forum community thinks that will only frighten away table developers, then I can already see why my frustration is justified. We are only here to admire their work and keep silent when things get confusing or disappointing.

I think you have missed the point being made by a very large margin. :(

My experience is that opinions and feedback are totally welcome here -- desired, even. When we express our opinions as users, it's a good idea to remember devs spend forty or fifty hours (a week of full time work!) on our tables, in the hopes of showing us a good time.

Coding and graphic design pay well. Our devs are donating the equivalent of hundreds or thousands of dollars in R and D time. When our constructive criticism clearly reflects this understanding, it's almost always well received!

If your testing the VPX beta, post your comments in the beta thread.

You want to be constructive to improve things, then keep the comments about putting tables in the trash to yourself.

You want to be constructive to improve things, then keep the snide comments about getting non-help to yourself.

You want to be constructive to improve things, then keep the comments about wanting to quit VP after playing a table to yourself

You want to be constructive to improve things, then keep the comments about waiting for someone else to release the table to yourself

You want to be constructive to improve things, then keep the comments about your frustration to yourself

Build a table and release it and then we might give you some leeway on the the way you are talking.

something dumb

I think you have missed the point being made by a very large margin. :(

Then someone please enlighten me. I'm serious. I don't want to cause trouble. I want what everyone else wants: To enjoy these brilliantly made tables without worries.

This forum is indeed a place where authors can expect feedback, be it positive or negative, as this allows them to perfect their art to the best of their ability so to speak.

The way in which we provide that feedback however, must take into consideration the "person" to which it is being directed. People like Ninuzzu work hard on these tables and they ask for nothing in return.... they have feelings and at times they have a varied understanding of the nuances of the written language. Members here are truly global in location and not necessarily all of them have English as their primary language, so our responses in these forums must be well considered.

Now I guess this goes both ways and we may have in fact applied our own nuances to "your" written word. If that is the case I apologise.  But it must be said that looking at the comments here, it seems clear that a number of us (including me) took your response to Ninuzzu's reply as what we call here in Australia "A Dummy Spit".  It seemed to come from a "sense of entitlement" and that you "deserved" better.  When in fact, Ninuzzu's reply was perfectly fine by pointing out that the table you commented on, was created in the OFFICIAL release of VPX and NOT the BETA version of VPX that you are using.... and as I said earlier, when using BETA there should be a reasonable expectation that issues will arise.
