what's new in this version?

Just kidding, great job Haunt, really. I allready loved Fuzzel's version, but this one is even better. the ball shadow and all over lighting. And, this table is one of my personal specials.

Fuzzel: Now I became picky. I'd love to see or better hear a version, where all those hitting any rubber sounds are implemented. You know, when hitting the flippers and rubber posts. Those old tables give so much space to feel all of that mech stuff, that made the experience complete, that I miss those sounds now....

If I find the time I will add the rubber sounds to this table :)

Table got sounds and script is complete.

1st problem is *.wav sounds are not normalized (very quiet) so you don't hear it.

2nd problem is that you need to check "Fire events for this collection" under Collection Manager tab for every collection with sound events.

One day i'll build Vitalik statue out of used AMD gpu's.

First set Light88 as off (LightStateOff, in panel property), then add this to line 266

Set Lights(56)=Light88

Great update ! Impressive graphics, thanks for the great work.

Does anybody know how to play 5 balls instead of 3 in this table? That would make it even more awesome! :)

Fuzzel,

Wow the graphics are rocking on this latest release. Thanks for continuing to advance this wonderful table.

This is absolutely one of my very favorite old school tables. With your blessing, I would love to do a mod of it and add in my HMLF physics and some other enhancements...and surprises. :) I have access to a real Gorgar and I am confident I can dial it "98.3 dead nuts" accurate. I would definitely want to post it up for the community to enjoy as well.

Let me know.

Great table, thank you very much.

One question, where can I adjust the time the ball ist locked in the pit?  At original setting it is much too short. I owned a real Gorgar (about 100 years ago ...) and the "pit stay time" of the VP9- version of this table feels correctly. With this tiny adjustment this VPX-Gorgar would be 100% flawless.

My appreciation Fuzzel, Christian.

You can add this code to the bottom of the script to replace the immediate kickout with a delayed kickout.  Change the value 2000 msec to whatever delay you would like

Const DelayedKickerTime = 2000 'msec
SolCallBack(2)	= "DelayedKicker"
Sub DelayedKicker(Enabled)
	If Enabled = True Then
		Sw15.TimerInterval = DelayedKickerTime
		Sw15.TimerEnabled = True
	End If
End Sub
Sub Sw15_Timer
	bsLKicker.ExitSol_On
	Sw15.TimerEnabled = False
End Sub

Hi Joe,

I regret, but this change effects the stay duration of the kicker hole at left lower area of the playfield. Can you please send us the change for the stay duration in "Gorgar's Pit" at the top left of the playfield? Further the magnetic force of the pit seems to be a little low so the ball is caught only ~ 30% of the pit hits.

my regards, Christian.

For the pit, there is just the magnet to control.  The code between the VP9 version and VPX version are the same here, so the difference may be due to VPX physics.

You can try increasing the magnet strength.  Search for

  .InitMagnet sw23, 26

26 is the strength so try modifying that.

Hi Joe,

thank you for the hint. The parameter adjusts two effects:

1. how hard the ball is fixed into its position in the pit and

2. how hard it is kicked out

The stay-in-time is not influenced.

Again, thank you for your readyness and action to help, Christian.

Hi Christian,

You can get the effect that I believe you are looking for if you select the magnet trigger (sw23) on layer 2, change the shape to TriggerStar and then change the radius to 75. The magnet will grab the ball easier and hold it longer.

Have fun!

AL

Hi Al,

thank you very much for your hint. This change improves the game behaviour very positively. What must I do to add a timer in order to legthen the magnet operation time?

All advises are welcome.

Thank you again, Christian.

Any idea why my right tilt button wont work but the left does?  It's only on this table, and its frustrating because the ball tends to toll into the right drain a lot!

Does anyone else have any trouble with this table? I can get it to load in VPX but I can't actually get a game to start. I've tried resetting the table, etc.

Pour moi, la table est un peu lente à se charger "patience" donc et j'ai modifié le solenoid à 2 au lieu de 1

elle fonctionne bien
