That's a great release! I've just changed the layback and table proportions a bit to my taste.

Now to learning the rules :)

Okay, guys, a bit offtopic but this is a story I have to tell:

It was hell to get enough and good resources for Safe Cracker. Especially there was no video around to show the gameplay. So we have had to ask a lot guys who played that pin in real how some stuff is working: The vari target with its 3 or 4 steps to move back, the spinning disc, and a lot more. Some guys played the table in a pinball museum that closed unfortunatelly a few weeks (or months) ago. So no easy way to get all the necessary infos, images and what not.

Today I was coming back from my favourite Italian restaurant, walking thru my hometown and saw a man with the help of his daugther pushing a pinball table into a garage. I walked over and started to talk with them. He told me, he is collecting pins for the last 25 years, has about 70 machines at a location a few kilometers away from our town and six machines in his basement. We talked a lot about tables and he invited me to have a look at this tables. Okay, coming down the stairways, what do you think was the first pin I saw in his flipper room: Of course SAFE CRACKER!!!!

In real the playfield is so small and the flipper fingers are tiny.

He invited me to a flipper evening already. Awesome.

After about 3 months of work on our Safe Cracker version I meet a guy who owns SC and a lot more pins at the day we're releasing our VP version. Well, I think, this can't be by chance. Maybe pretty soon I'm a proud owner of a real pin. We'll see. ;) :D

I belong to a group of guys--maybe 35 guys who form the Central Pa. Pinball Enthusiasts group. Once a month , someone hosts a party and we play and drink beer and of course eat. I've been to some meets where the guy has like 30 machines. Insane! Last party I had the chance to play Tron Legacy--very cool in all it's neon , and Metallica. Both great new tables! Hope you get to visit that guy!

I got to play a couple of games last night. Simply amazing release.

I have no idea what I am doing, but it should be fun to figure it out.

Hahaha, Herweh, you struck GOLD ! That you just had to walk there and @ that exact moment those two where moving the pin, that's NO chance !

Did you tell them that you, amongst others, recreate tables for VP ? Hope you get to know them better and get to play LOADS of pinball and maybe

they could become a great source for new upcoming releases ?

What a story though !

Anyway safecracker is top notch, great release and a BIG thanks to everyone involved !

Herweh, that's a cool story about the guy with the 70 pinball machines... and yes, that couldn't be an accident :D

This is really getting off-topic, but it's fun anyways, so...

Last summer, I saw something similar... I was at a guy's place (actually basement) who collects only Zaccaria pins. It was insane to see EVERY SINGLE Zaccaria SS machine ever released (plus one EM too) in a hall under his house... yes, the place is like a Zaccaria museum and it's under his own house that was built with this pinball collection in mind. I was like a kid in a candy store :D

Check it out...

Edit: I just noticed that the gallery became somehow broken, it was much better earlier where you could properly see the photos, but you get the idea.

Lots of fun! Thanks for the great table! Been a great few hours playing! :)

A couple of times I've gotten the ball stuck between the spinner wheel and the left wall. Took enough nudging to TILT to get it out of there. Also, in Assault the Vault, I had three balls all piled up on that left plunger, which never fired. Next game, the plunger didn't fire during normal play. Had to go into ball search before it kicked out.

Numiah, I sent in a proposed modification to the safe cracker LEDWiz Config. One of the switches was making the left bumper go crazy. I think it was meant to be an LED, as it seems to pulse with the on screen LEDS.

Also when I am playing the game in 9.16, the z levels seem to be off for the ball and the safe wheel. I am not sure why, but when I originally tested the game all levels looked right. But at that time, I could consistently get the ball stuck between the wheel knob and the bumper to the left of it. The trick is to have the handle at 9 o'clock. The ball does not seem to weigh enough to make the handle move from there and will get wedged between the bumper and handle.

But let me say, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED!!! I love this table!

You could define your start button to also be your button shift key in the Ipac. Then use start and another key. This is what I did.

Even my 10 year old daughter got a magic token... and she is not THAT good of a player - but not too shabby either :)
