I just installed the latest version. It plays great and the UVP is mostly working but I am not getting any scores (or any of the leds) showing on the BG... Anyone have an idea what I did wrong?

For anyone having uvp trouble maybe make sure you have dip set to 6 digit. If that dont work either then mYbe try the original 6 digit rom?

Anyone else having an issue where the digits show up in the wrong place on the uvp? The last digit on the first score is in the second score box :S

You will have to either tell the ROM to only use 6 digits or change the UVP to 7 digit score display.
The former is easier - just press F6 while playing the table, that brings up the options window where you can select 6 digit scoring instead of the current 7 digit.

Thanks for the great game. Just installed it and everything is working fine, but on exit I get a crash error from UVP Server. Any idea what might be wrong?

Sorry, never mind - I figured it out. I don't have a credit count display although all the others are working. Is that supposed to be working? I'm using the 6 digit display (and nvram and DIP switch setting).

i never could get the UVP to work for this game. I just use a static backglass picture, until I can take the time to try and figure it out. Always get an error when I try using UVP.

Downloading mystic.zip, and specifying that instead of mysticb.zip in the table script, fixed the exit error message I was getting from the UVP server.

Anyone integrate PBW into this table yet? Mechanical plunger option works, but no animation. Going to try to mod it in later.

To be honest I've given up on my Mot-ion (PBW). My device may be faulty but too late to send it back now. Besides being a PITA to calibrate, and experiencing center drift, it gives me large random jumps in X, and the plunger release (but not the drawback) had significant delays for many FP tables. Although it worked better in the VP tables that had a supporting plunger design, I got so frustrated with it that this weekend I gutted the plunger and interfaced it to a mouse wheel. Works much better in FP and I'm hoping a future VP release will support mouse-based plungers. I've also zeroed the accelerometers by restoring to default in the game adapter control panel and (for now) mapped the keyboard nudges and tilts to my extra right and left flipper buttons (except for those games that have an important function for those, like Spy v Spy). Believe it or not defaulting the XY axes has created some weird behavior in some VP games that have the PBW support check on. Biggest example is that I could no longer shoot the ball over the cliff in Four Million BC. Not until I unchecked PBW support in the table options. Apparently a zeroed PBW is not the same as not having a PBW, at least not once the game has been played with it on. I've ordered a keyboard interface for my buttons, but in the meantime I find myself in the odd position of having PBW but disabling it on VP tables. I figure I just way overpaid for only 16 buttons and a bare cab plunger assembly. :-)

I've got no issues with the actual plunger on VP tables during play. I don't use the buttons, no tilt/accelerometer (dead zone set to 100%) and I don't use FP.

Finally tried this today in the cabinet. Superb job Rob, looks beautiful and the physics are spot on. I use it with UVP with no problems at all - plays really smooth.

Interestingly my wife's friend gave me a Mystic backglass a few months ago which I plan to frame and illuminate from behind and hang on the wall. It nice to finally play the table, so many thanks for all your efforts on this - I can imagine you spent a lot of time tweaking it to make it perfect.

Cheers

Vic

Thanks. It isn't perfect though. Believe it or not I find it quite a bit more challenging to nail down physics on these older, slower tables than I do the more modern ones. VP is a PITA in that way. I may have another update coming to really polish things off once & for all. It would just be a couple minor tweaks, I do feel like there is just 1 more little notch higher I could take this table & hopefully I can hit it. I'm also very happy with how my Black Rose mod/conversion plays. I just uploaded it. With VP there is no such thing as "perfect", you can only get tables to play as well as possible despite the limitations. However, lately I've been getting tables to play damn near as good, as a whole, as games you pay good money for such as TPA or Zen. Each has their pro's & con's. Really IMHO Pro Pinball still remains as the game that one day hopefully VP could compare to, but it isn't there just yet.

& yes the Mystic backglass is one of the best I could think of to have as a wall ornament! Especially when lit up. Very pretty.

UPDATE! Hopefully everybody else sees the improvement that I do, let me know what you think.

v1.5 - Physics adjustment. I was happy with how this played before but I felt I could do a little better. On the real machine you can hit the captive ball from a cradled (stopped) ball on the right flipper, & now this can be done here as well. Maybe this doesn't sound like a big deal, but being able to hit shots like this while maintaining a good feel to the table & keeping everything accurate has always been a challenge with VP, especially with tables using this flipper type. Maybe those who play more real pinball will appreciate this. Either way, play this table & try to do everything you would do on a real table, & for the most part it should all play the same. Also this version has a couple other physics related improvements.

UPDATE!
v1.51 - Finally remembered to add a Leds timer to the FS version so that UVP can be enabled.

Also, I wanted to mention that a version or 2 ago, I did add support for that motion plunger thing, though I have no way to test it, hopefully it now works for those of you that use it.

Still getting the Syntex error line 50 when trying to use UVP. Someone give me a link to the exact UVP your using for this table. NO matter what I do I cannot get it to work.
