your project looks absolutely amazing. didn't want to hijack, so i posted a similar game here:
http://www.vpforums....i...st&p=169322

Thanks for the link ike! That game looks awesome. One of the reasons I started the project was to get a cool Greek themed table out there, little did I know there are already a few out there! Just played Medusa on my cab for about an hour, another sweet Greek game.

Another update.... not much changed... added some additional playfield inserts, did a quick version with some lighting effects, converted to FS to see how that was looking too. Pretty much just gotta finish the sounds/music and then get the rule set coded in....

Does anyone have or know of free software that works well for converting .caf and .mp3 audio files to .wav files? All the programs I've found online only convert 60% of the clip unless you upgrade and buy the full version. It'd be great if the software also allowed editing/clipping/splicing/etc. of the clips... Let me know - getting this audio together is the last tid bit before I hand the table off for programming and start another one...

Here is a video on how to convert .caf using Audacity.

I own Wavepad Pro if you want to send me the music files I can convert all of them
and even tweak the sound a bit too to make it sound clearer (equalizers and other goodies help)
and then save it as a wav
I can also mix and splice music together using it too

I agree with ev1 else that this is a pretty nifty looking original! It should be a thrill to play.

I would say it is in the running for one of the best looking original tables, but, you've got to mention JP's Spider-Man and Pirates in there. As well as some of Starman's work!

Awesome - thanks for the link, the software worked just as I hoped and is super easy to use.

Thanks for all the encouragment fellow VP members! I just hope the game-play is as fun as the layout makes it look! It's been pretty fun through my intial testing and table build - but that might just be a case of creator block... we'll see hopefully soon enough...

Well, officially transferred all files over to one of the master VP builders to code and finish off WOOLY with all the bells and whistles. He's got a lot on his plate right now and is hoping to get started in the July timeframe - hopefully we have something playable in the 3rd quarter... Still a lot of little stuff on my end to finish up to make his life easier, guess it's good I have a bit of time to clean that stuff up.

With that, is anyone interested in helping me out with backglass designs? I always liked when pinball utilized illustration style art in the playfield and a more painted look for the backglass. I can draw fairly well, but can't paint worth shit. Would love it if anyone here wanted to give a go at it. Let me know, anyone can enter to win! smile.gif

Also, if there are any talented photoshop/illustrator users out there that feel like finishing my Wrath logo, that'd be sweet too. The one I've been using is a cheap combination of a couple of stolen/borrowed logos from random sources. I've got a good hand sketch of what I want and would be open to alternative versions too.. Let me know. smile.gif

This is really looking like a cab worthy original.

Just a couple minor picks... I'm not a fan of how the sharp angles of the ramp on the left side of the table looks. There is just something about it that doesn't look right and makes it stand out in comparison to the rest of the flow on the table. I guess it's supposed to look like a lightning bolt, right? If so, I'd suggest something like a lightning bolt decal on the bottom of the ramp.

Also, have you checked out the layback settings? There is just a bit too much side flipper angle when compared to the FS view on other FS tables. I think with the correct layback settings would add more depth to the temple at the top of the table in FS mode.

Other than that, this table looks amazing and I hope that it plays just as good as it looks. Can't wait to have another top notch and high quality original on my cab.

1) Yeah - the left ramp is a work in progress - the intent was to mimic a lightning bolt. A decal is a good suggestion, I'll look into it. So far the table plays really smooth, with good flow, the left ramp kinda breaks that up - will need to make a final judgement call later as there's another feature of that ramp yet to be implemented (in the flat section) that may influence the final feeling of the ramp.
2) Layback, physics, etc. have not been explored but will be handled in the final build. Thanks for the comment.

Looking at the ramp, I think it would be cool if the angles were a little more exaggerated and place kickers in each corner to rocket the ball through the ramp down to the bottom, to mimic the speed of a lightning bolt, (with maybe a sound effect and lighting flash at each kicker??) and you can throw a final one in near the end to bring it back to normal speed.
