This info may have been useful back when the thread first started, but here it is anyway... If the hyperpin art is your major stumbling block just use the print screen option, works especially well with FP since you get both the backglass and the pf at the same time. Load the table, hit print screen, open paint, crop the playfield, save it as a .png, and re-crop the backglass, save as a .png.

Or just press "o" while you play the game smile.gif

(you need latest fplaunch - wip 8)

does that work with vp tables too?

Yes.

lots of problems with wip8

1. it loads the table twice one in hp and one on it's own. when i close the one in hp the other one is still open along with dmd.
2. the loading images etc are huge and cover the whole screen plus their the wrong angles.
3. the closing image 3.2.1 is tiny and squished.

had to go back to old version...

Installation of latest FPLaunch is really easy - just unzip all files to your Hyperpin folder and move all png images to Media\Hyperpin\Images.
You can customize your keys and other options in Settings.ini file in Settings folder. Check FPLaunch section on the end of the file.
There is no need to recompile fplaunch after you change options in ini file!
You can find more about each option in Long Installation Guide later in this manual or in fplaunch.ahk script.

no explanation why the images are large and why tables load twice. screw it i'll just keep the old version it works fine and use pinscreengen.

Wish I could remember what I did when I installed it, but that was to long ago.
Maybe Blur could post a more step by step answer for you. It has go to be something simple because it does work.

images are large and rotated because you have old images - you did not moved new images to images folder - the only step that has to be done after extracting zip file

how did you fixed images?

settings look fine.
Did you tuned your controller to send keys faster maybe? Which controller is it - ipac?

Can you try:
1. to launch table with keyboard key 1
2. to reconfigure hyperpin to use enter key for launching the table and then launch it with plunger button on cab and then with enter key on keyboard.

before going to hyperpin - can you check that there is no vpinball processes running in taskmanager and then try to launch table

nope yes ipac

1. that's what i have it set up for originally so can start table in hp and vp with 1 key.
2. can't do that see above it will mess it up and i dont have enough buttons to config more stuff etc.
3. nothing is running

this is taskbar after i have started the table in hp

and this is after i have exited table in hp

that is known bug - sometimes vp is not closed - you have to change this in closevp function:

CloseVP:
Hotkey, %exitScriptKey%, Off
GoSub rosveClose
;Visual Pinball must be closed this way instead of killing process
;or it wil not save your last game information.i.e score/credtis
DetectHiddenWindows, on ;Or next line will not work <-------------- remove comment ";" from the beginning of this line
Loop, 4
Gui, %A_Index%: Destroy
;This line fixes where the VP Window flashes real quick
;when closing the window for a cleaner exit
;WinHide, ahk_class VPinball <--------------------- add comment ";" to the beginning of this line
WinMinimize, ahk_class VPinball
WinClose, ahk_class VPinball
GoSub bigbossClose
GoSub, ExitScript

and recompile WITH BASIC AHK

but you said you have two VP's running when you start the table - so do you have two pinballs running if you clean old processes before you run hp?

you have to kill vpinball.exe processes from list of processes also, not just from the first tab in task manager

Hey blade - you should download the basic ahk, install it (it is tiny), and try what blur suggested. He is on his own here and needs us to try things out to see if they work - then that way he might be able to include a fix (or configurable option to make the program work in a different way based on settings).

Ahk is great but having used it a bit myself it can be tricky because we are trying to control applications such as VP by sending keystrokes, etc to it. I expect blur has spent many weeks of time adding all the great additions to fpLaunch over the last year or two but he needs our help too to try things out smile.gif
