I have yet to get FP running in Hyperpin as well. (admittedly I have not tried very hard yet)
That is a great tutorial posted above, and I have read and re-read it many times.
However it has nothing in it about setting up FP to run in Hyperpin.
Anyone else know of a good tutorial for this as I have searced for days with no luck.

I honestly thought It was a piece of cake to do. Just run the tables outside of hp first to size and get all graphics issues ironed out. Then just build a XML for it. After that just set the hyperpin settings to the correct file paths and that was it. Pretty straight forward.

This is my road block.
There are no media packs for Future Pinball.
These things saved my life in VP and made life so easy.
It is a little overwhelming to have to build the XML from scratch and gather and name all the screenshots and wheel images so everything will work.

If you use the pinscreen generator it grabs all the backglasses, table images and does the xml for you.
Couldn't be easier.

Thanks, I plan to do that.
I used it for my VP a few months ago so I could get higher res screenshots.
Have not tried it with FP yet.
Can you set it to just do FP or will it do everything everytime?
I also have a fear that it will not be able to open my tables correctly because 1. They take so long to load and 2. I have to close and restart FP everytime between tables for them to load correctly.

Its very clever.
there is a seperate bat file for FP and it waits for the table to load before taking a snap.
It also restarts FP every time.
Plus it only does the tables that it doesn't already have an image for.

I used pingenerator to. Generates the xml too. Could not be so easy. Wheel Images are the one truly annoying piece of the entire build.

Glad to hear it will work so well. It has been a long time since I set up my VP tables with it.
Maybe I can find someone with a lot of wheel images to load up my drop box. smile.gif

Well, I gave the program a shot. However I have multiple problems going on with it.

1. It is not shutting down future pinball between table loads. This causes the program to crash after about two or three tables. When I go to task manager I will have multiple Future Pinball programs open and running. (Bummer). Plus my tables will not load all textures if FP is not completely shut down.

2. When It does load a table it will just take a screenshot of my Windows screen or the Future Pinball logo.

I am guessing I will have to remove/hide all my tables to another folder. Then put them in one at a time and run the screengen program once for each table. This will be a nice pain in the a@@ but at least it might work since I can manual shut down FP between tries.

Below is my ini file in case anyone can see what I have done wrong.
I'm really not sure why FP refuses to close for this program.
I am running Windows 7 with a 1920 x 1080 playfield and a 1920 x 1080 backglass.
Maybe increasing the show table time and delay after close times will help.
But is seems I need to slow the camera down as it is taking the picture way ahead of time.

Backglass_Image_Capture_X_Y_H_W = "1921,0,3201,1024"

When I do manage to get a partial screenshot of a backglass it is always chopped off at the right edge.
What are the correct settings for the Backglass_Image_Capture for a 1920 x 1080 screen?

Settingsons, just told me the backglass settings depend on your playfield settings. I will post the correct settings soon for people using a 1920 x 1080 backglass and playfield as well.

Hi Arcade - Sorry I missed this thread earlier today (still have a hangover smile.gif).

Hopefully with the correct capture co-ordinates it might work for FP for you. If not it maybe the Windows 7 issue some people have previously had for FP screen capture. It depends on the nVidia driver version. There is a lot of info over on the HP forums:
http://www.hyperspin...ead.php?t=10992

Will be interested to see how you get on. Good luck!

Success.
I was finally able to capture the entire backglass using pinscreengen.
I posted this in the pinscreengen thread as well, but here is the answer again.
This is the setting you will need to use if you have a 1920 x 1080 backglass as well as a 1920 x 1080 playfield.

Playfield_Image_Capture_X_Y_H_W = "0,0,1920,1080"
Backglass_Image_Capture_X_Y_H_W = "1921,0,3842,1080"

Also as BLUR reminded me, you can also use the latest Hyperpin launch and just press the "O" key once the table is loaded. This will capture the playfield and the backglass as well and save them to the correct folders. (Not sure if it creates an xml file or not).

Now for my third post in a row.

I am just trying to get one table up and running on Hyperpin. (Superman).
Now that I have my playfield and backglass screenshots of Superman and my xml file in place. I still can't figure out how to get it to show up in Hyperpin.
I have double checked all my paths and changed show tables to true in the Hyperpin FP section, but still nothing shows up on my Hyperpin wheel.
I do not have any wheel art, but it should show up as plain text, correct?
Any ideas out there.
What should my wheel look like when it works? are FP tables separate from VP tables or just mixed in?
Curious minds want to know.

fp tables should be mixed in

check log file, maybe it will give you some info what's going on

and check your settings in settings.ini and set fp to true

Thanks, I will check the log file when I get home.
I did set FP to true in the ini file already.
It almost has to be a path problem unless I have to have something in the wheel art folder.

If somebody that has their FP installed in the default settings like I do could please post their ini settings here so I can check my paths, that would be awesome.

Glad it worked in the end Arcade - thanks for the update. Blur's single table screenshot grabber is perfect and a lot more convenient once you are up and running - I need to upgrade to the latest FPLaunch as well.

Just going back to one of your earlier issues where you had several instances of FP loaded - this shouldn't normally happen as I try to close FP normally and if it doesn't close I try to kill it and if that fails the program should tell you there was an error closing FP and ask if you want to continue - did you get that question?. Also if gets that again then please let me know and I will release a new version to fix it as I was planning to add a few other options soon mainly XML generation options and a HTML report of missing HP objects.

I fixed my problem by telling it to only do 1 table at a time. smile.gif
If I try to load more than one table it will just lock up and I have to CTRL ALT DEL.
However when I just load one table, I do get the error screen that asks me if I want to continue. But at least it works, I get both screenshots and an xml file.

Now I just have to figure out why it does not show up on my wheel. sad.gif
I have moved both images to the Hyperpin Future Pinball Tables and playfield directorys and copied the xml to the correct folder as well.
