Is there a trick to getting UVP working on this table? I've tried everything and can't seem to get UVP working for this one. I've never had any issues with adding a UVP to a table in the past, but I just can't figure this one out.

NEVERMIND! I'm an idiot, forgot to add the controller line. Doh!

This is one if the very few VP9 tables I play on occassion but I am running into an issue with the rom and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

The rom referenced in the script is gs_l4, which I had downloaded from this site a while back and ran just fine up until sometime between VPM 3.1 and 3.2 Beta (I think).  I believe I'm running the latest VPM 3.2 beta (actually the updated SAM version based off it), but there isn't a reference to the gs_l4 rom that I can see in the rom list (via running Test option the VPM setup utility).  Instead, it now references gs_la3 as the English version of the rom (the file name I should say - the actual description still says "Game Show (LA-3)".  No mention of gs_l4 anymore.

The VPU site actually has this particular rom (gs_la3) with a changelog note from 2018 saying that the updated file is just a simple rename of gs_l3 to gs_la3.  So I downloaded that one but no dice - get the 'terminated before initialized' message from the VPM utility when attempting to start it.  Checking on the rom contents it shows several files in the zip missing.

I also tried renaming the old gs_l3 and gs_l4 roms to gs_la3, but same problem: terminate before initialized and then showing some contents missing (although different contents).  I haven't spent much more debugging time than that so I thought I would check to see if a) anyone else is experiencing this; or b) I'm totally missing something.  Or if someone is doing a VPX version that is coming at some point, I could always wait.

Thanks!

your rom is not going to load if you have missing bin files,

did you download the rom to see if it had the bins you are missing

this is mine but I rebuilt my roms to match the most current PINMAME

That is the problem, the different roms are missing one or more of those entries that VPM is expecting.  One of the entries exist in the gs_la3 rom from VPU (in fact, that is the only entry in that rom), and the others I grabbed from the gs_l4 rom found on this site (which had 4 out of 5).  Combine them all together into a new gs_la3 of my own creation - and it works.

Thanks for the tip.  I haven't had to do that before for any tables, wonder why this one was the exception.
