Ahhh, thats why. My cab is 1920x1080, but I was testing it on my dev machine 1440x900.

I will load it up on the cab. Thanks very much! WooHoo! Reference table!

What is your resolution? 1920 x 1080 is required.

Oh boy, thank you so much for the update tipoto it is my favorite table!

Will try the new version later today

I am still having performance issues on this table when extra ball/special events and I have disabled B2S completely (that  helped some) But it is still not as smooth as other tables when the events occur.

Is there anything else i can try to fix it?

EDIT:

Have just played it and I really like the adjustments.

But it still lags during hurry up / extra ball / when getting multiball

There is nothing I can really do for that, I already tried to optimized the script as much as I could. Scripting is not my strongest part and I guess there is always a way to optimize even more, but there are a lot of animations playing at the same time anyway when you get big bonus like extra ball, jackpot etc, and even with the best optimization, you can't avoid the lags only with the script.

However you can try the different options I put in the script in the 'Improving performance' section, in order to disable some animations. I don't recommend to use 'Reflection_OFF', because you won't get that much result and you will loose the ball reflection + the ball shadow at the same time, which is very sad.

I don't think it will fix all your performance issues, but you can maybe get some FPS back (at the cost of some graphic features)

idem pour moi, ça rame toujours dans les moments "chauds", sinon ça tourne bien (avec tout désactivé dans tes options du script bien sur)

et bravo pour le taf, cette table reste un "must" !

Thank you, I have disabled some more stuff as you said and it helped. But there is still some problems.

But I guess the next step is new hardware. Thanks for trying :-)

It is much less pain to get multiball now.

Do someone know how close it is to the real thing?

Don't know if anyone else have tried it. When the ball should go into the "plunger" It made the sound and the ball was there but then disappeared and I had to restart the game to because the ball never appeared again.

Will there be a backglass for the 1.06 version ?

Tried the previous T2 Chrome B2S.exe and also the "Terminator 2 - Chrome Edition - 2 Screen - 1920x1080.directB2S"

But the 1.06 version doesn't work with directb2s only with B2S.exe, but that crashes hyperpin  when you exit the table.

Did you register the directB2S server? Be sure that the filename for the .directB2S file is the same like the .vpt file.

e.g.

T2_CE_Tipoto_1.05_FS.vpt -> T2_CE_Tipoto_1.05_FS.directB2S

same goes for the 1.06 version, and you have to change the script that you want to use dB2S and save the table again...done.

I've tried other tables with directb2s, they work with the 9.16 rev581.

When I launch the table from within visual pinball, it works perfectly, but in Hyperpin it crashes.

These are my settings in the script :

B2S_Backglass = 1 ' 1 if you use B2S backglass (working only with the new B2S system)

The "new system" would be the directb2s, I guess

If B2S_Backglass = 0 Then:Set Controller=CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller"):Else:Set Controller=CreateObject("B2S.Server"):End If

Now when I launch this table in Hyperpin, it crashes giving the following error :

index.php?app=core&module=attach&section

From the FPLaunch.ahk :

------ check if an active backglass shall be started -----
;--------------------------------------------------------------
StringRight, ending, tableName, 3
if (ending = "B2S")
{
Run, %tablePath%%tableName%.exe, %tablePath%
sleep 200

Maybe it's because the name ends in B2S, that it searches for an B2S.exe file.

I'm going to alter my table name in the hyperpin database, maybe that will fix it.

I'll let you know if it worked.

I've changed the name from "T2_Chrome_FS_B2S.vpt" to "T2_Chrome_FS.vpt"

and changed it in the visual pinball.xml from hyperpin.

Guess what.... It worked !!!!!!!!!!  :yahoo:

Thanks Tipoto for the update, it plays great.

Will this table ever be playable again on 16-bit color depth ?

Because on 16-bit I can play all my tables and with 32-bit

I get graphical glitches with ramps, etc....

eg. Tales From The Arabian Nights, plays fine in 16-bit, but the graphics aren't good in 32-bit

With T2 it's the other way around.

Maybe it's possible to get the 16-bit tables to look good on 32-bit ?

But how ?

I don't think T2 Chrome was ever playable with only 16-bit color, so the answer is probably no.

I'm not sure what do you mean by tables not looking good with 32-bit. All tables look fine for me with that setting. Could it be some hardware-related issue, i.e. video card not poweful enough?

No problems for me, i play T2 Chrome with only 16-bit color and graphics are good.  :)

And with my ATI card HD4890 all tables look bad in 32-bit (with hardware rendering enable), but perfect in 16-bit. This is a problem that can be found on some older ati cards.

Ah yes, if you have an ATI HD 4-series card, then you pretty much must use 16-bit with HW rendering, otherwise some textures will look off.

My graphics card is :

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT

Some sort of hotkey for switching between 16-bit and 32-bit in game would also be a solution.

Now if I would like to play T2, I have to exit hyperpin, go to VP, edit the settings, and go back to hyperpin to play T2

Another solution could be, in a future version of VP, maybe you could set different settings "per table"
