UPDATE

5.1.2 Updated 26.08.2023
- Remade the LilDP animation. Using the LilDP model by OneSharpEdge. I animated the head and the arms by themselves. I think the animation looks much better now and more random.

This is just a decoration update. I used OneSharpEdge LilDO model and I separated the arms and the head from the body in Blender, so I could animate each part on their own. Now the head and the arms will move more randomly than before. Anyway, at least I reduce the size of the table by 20Mb :D

That's great always to have less MB :)

Thanks for the update.

Hi JP,

IMHO the sound of katana is a little bit too loud,

I like very much your table anyways.

Would you maybe make a Deadpool 2 which would include the vilains he fought in the movies ?

The volume of the katana can be lowered in the VPX sound editor, it is easy to do that :)

I don't think I'll make a Deadpool2, not for now anyway :)

I guess I've read that you're updating the old V8.x and VP9.x to VPX.
This is a lot of work given the number of tables you've made/created/contributed to.
Bon courage !

Many of my VP8 and VP9 tables are already done in VPX, so I won't make those :) But I'll be making some of them that I like, even if it is already done in VPX, like MM or STTNG.

I can repeat my answer on the other thread :)

Yes, I know why :) Because the table is for VPX8 and not for VPX7. If you are using VPX7 the play the version 4. Version 5 is for VPX8, it even says so in the filename :) You won't get flashers either, as they are used differently in VPX8.

Is there a way to download version 4? There are only 5.1.0, 5.1.1 and 5.1.2 versons listed under Previous versions at the table's download page :-/

If you actually click Download (Hover mouse over the Year and Download button appears) on any of the Previous version selections, you will see v4 available on all 3 of those Previous Version selections.

Hover mouse over Year as seen in pic. A download button will appear.

Now you will see v4 available for download.

UPDATED version 4

4.3.0 Updated 6.1.2024
- Updated physics to my Rev3. Including physics materials, flippers and slingshot shapes.
- Updated LUT images, 10 shades and 10 warmer shades.
- Updated to my latest set of mechanical sounds.

The update is mostly for the Rev3 flipper physics, so all of you using VPX7 can play with better flippers :)

I play on the desktop.

When I want to change flexdmd, the table crashes and doesn't start the second time?

In the script I change Const FlexDMDHighQuality = false

and Dim UseFlexDMD
If Table1.ShowDT = True then
UseFlexDMD = True
Else
UseFlexDMD = True
EndIf
Everything worked fine in previous versions?

I guess you are playing the version 5.1.2 with VPX8, then you need to update FlexDMD, as the old version is not compatible with VPX8.

I checked only the most recent of the Previous Versions before posting the question and there were only 5.x.x versions that I mentioned. Now I checked them one more time and everything is still the same. These are Previous Versions as I see them at the moment:

prev_versions_1_t.png

And this is when I click on the first of them:

prev_versions_2_t.png

I don't see the new 4.3.0 version uploaded today anywhere.

EDIT:

I do see the 4.3.0 version when I click the Download button.

I can always re-upload version 4, but wait a few hours and I'll make a 4.3 version with better flippers physics :D

Thank you very much!! :-) I'll check it today.

Unbelievable how many tables you've designed. It would be really nice if you made a video of designing a table.

It will be difficult for me to make a video about how to build a table, each table is different. I also guess my techniques are a bit outdated now, compared to what other people are doing, but I still think they are good enough for me :)

Well, as "outdated" as those techniques may be, the toolchain you are using seems to be at least 10 times more productive than others' toolchains combined :-) Just a joke, I am aware it's all about talent and skill.

I tested version 4.3 and it works great. Really well thought rules combined with the superb design of the playfield from both technical and artistic aspects, extraordinary lighting and sound. Thank you again for the update!

What I noticed was the first two times when plunging the ball with the 4.3 table it went all around and didn't pass through the bonus multiplier lines but after that everything started working as it should.

The other thing I noticed was the 4.3 version was set to 3 balls while in version 5.1.2 there are 5 balls so I increased the parameter in the script which made me wonder if there is a way to know when someone made the high score using more than 5 balls. For example how could someone know I didn't make the high score after increasing the ball number to e.g. 10 or even after modifying the playfield? I remember MAME had some special versions for ensuring the game was played unmodified but that was for arcade machines.

BTW, until now I was mostly checking the tables from the real pinball machines I was playing during 80s and 90s but now that I saw this table I am going to check some more original tables that you designed.

There is a superskillshot by holding the left flipper down before plunging the ball, the top gate will open and then pass will go around and to the flipper, then you need to shoot the ramp :) I guess you pressed the left flipper, so the ball didn't stop at the top lanes :)

I guess I was testing the 5 balls in the version 5 :) I usually leave the tables at 3 balls :) I have not added any check for the highscore to see how many balls where in play. But it is a nice idea to keep two sets of highscores, but there is no problem in setting the nr of ball to 10 or 20 :D

I guess you will like tables like Serious Sam, Friday the 13th, Horrorburg and IT :D
