Quick suggestion:
You might want to uncheck 'Casts Shadow' for your max-height wall in the top left portion of the editor wink.gif

Everything on the lower level of the playfield is in. This was actually pretty tough, since on the real table, all that stuff is really hard to see (if not impossible), and the manual's schematic omits much of it in favor of the ramps above. Luckily, one of WTiger's pics was of the upper playfield with everything stripped EXCEPT the rails, which was invaluable.

Now comes the difficult task of figuring out those ramps and the 360 flipper. I suspect I'll be looking at the old VP8 table for some help on the latter. In any event, so far everything is playing correctly - I can hit every shot on the board fairly consistently. Yay!

The upper playfield is in place, and I can actually launch the ball onto the table now. Yay!

I'd like to think so! I don't imagine I can ever go back to just modding now.

It's been a couple weeks since I kicked the tires on this table, so here we go again.

The ramps are functional, though I need to make them a lot prettier. When I code the table, I'm also gonna need to figure out how to raise and lower the bottom halves of the left and right ramps. I assume it'll involve simply making the "down" ramp invisible and uncollidable while simultaneously making the "up" ramp the exact opposite. Then when the ramp drops again, I'd reverse the process. At least, that's my working theory with no real knowledge of how scripting works. But hey, I'll leap that hurdle when I get to it.

Taking shape now, do you have a HQ pic of the PF trout?

There's a pretty good stripped playfield on this site, but I'll probably redraw it anyway to make it shiny and crisp with no compression artifacts or distortion. It's all line art and flat colors, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Had to take a couple weeks off due to more pressing concerns, but I got some art done today.

Sorry, but this is a rather sad bump: my comic-related projects are taking up far too much of my free time lately, so I'm pretty much dropping this WIP. I had to take stock of my priorities, and making VP tables is just too time-consuming when I take into account my other art projects in the oven. Oh well. I do hope someone makes a good SF2 table someday, though...

This is indeed sad news, maybe some day you'll finish it up. Have you asked UW if his willing to do the scripting, i know he has help out on other authors tables?

i'd be more than willing to script it. i finally have the multiball worked out on smb. but the art stuff i am just no good at. I can do lighting but not redraws. if you could let me have your resources for it maybe i could get 1up or ace to finish up the redraws on it. Building the tables is kind of fun for me, so if the resources are there building is not a problem. i could add this one on to the list. it looks very nice

Seriously? I'm the total opposite - I'm an art guy that finds building a table rather tedious. I just like drawing stuff! I'll see what I can round up and PM you later. You da man, UW.

I think it will, if trout can do the redraw stuff i'll bring this to life, probably rebuild it from scratch though so it's how i need it to be for coding purposes. I'll post a wip for the 5 or 6 tables i'm about to start on when my vacation starts next week.
